The amount of time you would spend TRYING to farm these items... could be spent farming regular kind of stuff like Ore, Herbs etc etc which always sells. Making gold is easy enough.

The rare BoE items in Shadowfang Keep are expensive too. For being really low level and decent drop, you can farm them quite often. They're mostly for twinks but I've seen them sell from 5k-15k+ on various servers.

I'm surprised you didn't put the vanguard or the glorious leg plates. They usually sell for 20k-100k on moonguard or wyrmrest accord. They have around 1% drop rate.

Hyacinth Macaw can drop from any mob in STV, I looted 2 back to back on an alt before, one dropped from a troll, the other from a raptor. I'm sure the Bloodsail's have the highest chance though.

TubbyTimmy lol? You know what drop rate means right. If it has a .01% drop rate that means every single mob you kill it resets. You have a .01% to get the item everytime you kill something so killing 1k of the mobs doesn't "guarantee" the item. It's just in relation to the average amount of mobs killed related to how fast the person got the item

I am pretty sure the reason the mobs on that isle in Dustwallow are farmed is for armorkini greens. They may also drop the skullflame shield but that shield has shared visuals with a shield from Heroic Mana-Tombs which also drops during TBC Timewalking as well. That isle is the place where farmers go when they are waiting for their AQ20 lockouts to end.

#1 is a world drop that can drop off ANY 60 elite and the final boss of heroic Mana Tombs drops the same item if you want the Xmog #2 drops off ANY slime no matter the level #3 is another world drop... got 2 in LBRS #4 any of the ICC 5 mans can drop the hilt #5 any pirate will drop the parrot got one in deadmines

1. Is mentioned because it is not meant to be bought for transmog in this case. It is meant to be bought for twinks. You cant use the one from MT on a low level twink. 2-5. He showed the most convenient mobs to farm with the highest drop rates. Try farming the macaw in DM as an oppose to on the coast of STV, or the same with LBRS. Yeah, that'd be fun, everyone would wanna farm those npcs.

The "Overlord" plate pieces sell for upto around 8000g on RP servers, you can farm them from any of the Dark Iron dwarves in Burning Steppes and i think also Blackrock Depths.

can always AH farm gold via old blasted lands using the draenic crystals, they are a daily (unlimited) turn in and you get a chest/bag depending on what type of crystal drops, all mobs in blasted lands have a chance to drop them and they are pretty common, the rewards are also drawn from the largest item pool in game at the moment. literally a chance for anything out of them.

You're right, in Cata they switched it to being a veeeeery low drop chance on all Stranglethorn mobs. Case in point, I used to farm the pirates to try to get that bird and I did so for months. Gave up. Cata happened and I was leveling a shiny new sunwalker though there and some panther dropped it. Great day.

i got orb of deception from a chest in Searing Gorge. it's a world drop in Azeroth, so I think it'll drop off of pretty much anything. The battered hilt drops from all 3 of the endgame 5 mans in Wrath (Forge of Souls, Pit of Saron, Halls of Reflection). I got it on HoR and sold it for at least 10kg on my server.

It's not just the buccaneers who drop the pet cage. Just across the way there's a place full of Naga and they can drop it too. I forget what the place is called but you have to go there for a few quests, one of them being to collect some 'pure water'. I got one a couple of days ago and its price is around 18k or so on my server. Anyway, happy hunting folks!

The Skullflame Shield is only going to sell to suckers unfortunately. There is a shield with almost the exact same model that drops from a bc dungeon. The orb can also drop in Dire Maul from a rare that spawns in the center and he has a significantly higher chance to drop it, somewhere around 10%.

unless things have changed since my time, orb of deception and skullflame shield are just random world drops. there are a few rares such as an ogre that used to spawn in dire maul that had a higher chance of dropping it, but it's still random.

The Hyacinth Macaw can drop from any mob in STV now....not just pirates.....I gotten 3 of them off critters I have killed in STV while leveling up alts since the change. After Patch 4.0.3a this pet became a zone drop in Northern Stranglethorn and The Cape of Stranglethorn.

Bad advice, cuz you have to run them on heroic, doing what you say means you run each once and you're done and locked out for the day... if you just do PoS trash farming, you can literally do it all day long as long as your bladder holds out.

Skullflame shield dropped for me in Molten Core a few years ago. Sold it for 14k. To date, the most expensive item I've sold. Don't know if it drops there anymore (WowHead says 0% - 1 out of 74,296) Glad I haven't gone back there to farm for it!

best way i found to farm the orb of deception is to farm stratholme. plus u get to try for the mount, dont expect it to drop tho, i have 350+ runs for it and no mount. prob 15-20 orbs in that time tho

I guess that list is for a PvE, PvP server. If you are on an RP server there is always Blood Elf Bandit Mask. Its a Mask that drops from bloodelf spies all over the start region of the Draenei. If you want to farm them you should get a map where they spawn. Usually you can loop around the island and when you are around the first one should be up again. The problem with that npc/item is the competition and there are only a few of them at specific point in stealth. So as a high level character it could well be that you waste half a minute on a spot where no bloodelf is atm. But the mask has a 12% drop chance and sells for average 6-7k

Pit of saron got nerfed, kinda. Used to give alot of frostweave (with tailoring perk for more) and alot of greens, and the ocassional battered hilt. Now it gives like a quarter of the loot it used to give in 5.4, battered hilts still drop though. It used to be like 20-30k / hr to me on my server Argent Dawn EU, disenchanting greens and making enchants/selling raw mats, frostweave used on shirts (that sell very good on RP server), and ocassional battered hilt went for 10-15k. It's still a solid method but there's better ones out there.

Okay I have a question about the server hop addon, You get grouped with some random people now do people use this addon to group with others trying to complete a task so they have help or is it purely for doing your solo farms because you don't have a choice for the group happening. Really I just want to know if these groups are waiting to get someone that can help them or are they all doing their own thing not actually together.

Anyone who creates a group with an "auto-accept" on people that want to join will be targeted by these cross realm server-hop add-ons. So if you create a group for "Open Garrison" with an auto invite, that might be the group you join using the add-on... if someone creates a "help me kill these Horde in Goldshire" with an auto-invite, that might be the group you join on. The add-on doesn't care what the group is there for, all it cares is if its on Auto-invite.

I don't think you can kill Weavil anymore because after patch 7.1 Blizzard changed Alcaz Island so now there are level 110's everywhere, turrets that can push you off your mount (And kill you quickly... I was almost murdered in 3 shots from them), and a Security Bot that guards the entrance of the island, and I have no idea how to get the island back to it was before 7.1

I went there with my level 66 toon and talked to every NPC on all the bridges there and none of them had the option to return to the past and I went to the island and the NPC's there are 110 elites. Would be nice if you gave a name and or location of this NPC otherwise it appears the NPC has been removed.

Silicate Feeders in Ruins of AQ? They drop the Glorious/Vanguard/Lofty armour set, the glorious sells for an insane amount of gold.

So for any of you guys who want easy gold. You can run all the SM's and then reset them numerous times, and normally most items range between about 70 gold to right around 300, they are green items so get auctioneer. I know 70 or 300 doesn't seem alot and trust me it isn't. BUT! Greens drop frequently in dungeons, and alot of people just really can't be bothered to farm these greens. Why? I don't know. But I could normally make some pretty easy gold when I was bored just running around doing that, its a surefire way to get gold unlike hoping and praying a .08 drop chance item will fall out of the sky and hit you on the head. This is how I did it, I personally left the game but I figure someone else might benefit from this. So enjoy.

Was farming the battered hilt and I got the super simian sphere drop instead I was pretty darn happy xD It dropped from the Deathwhisper Necrolyte

Oh, I remember this one time when I was playing on my old Draenei Paladin (I think that's the one). I was going hunting for the quest where you had to gather the venison steaks or whatever and this Belf assassin came up behind me and started attacking my guy. It was over by the Exodus and the dock for the ship that picks you up later on in the game if you want to go to Rut'Theran Village. So like, I killed the guy, and I got some face mask from him and thought "Huh, well that's neat. I mean, I needed some headgear so, why the heck not? Sure it might be in white (if I remember correctly), but it could still be of some use." And so I went on along my way back to the questgiver after I had killed the last Stag. Couple of minutes pass, and this Human player comes up to me and asks, "Hey! Did you get that mask off of a Blood Elf rogue guy?" And I said, " Yeah, I did actually. Why's that? Did you want it or something? I mean, it is only temporary so..." He declined and then told me that back in Cata the mask went for I think he said 1'000 gold or some high number around that range and I might be able to make something off of it since it's rare to find/ get and lot's of people used to farm for it. Man, did I feel like an idiot for not having known this! But, to be fair, I've only been alive for 15 years and just started playing WoW 3 years ago...so... can't blame me there!

I dont like any of these spots but just so you know the first spot he suggested also drops the vangaurd breastplate which sells between 50-80k now (that isnt the best farm spot for it, the best spot is diremaul and AQ)

I got the Orb from an ogre at some 50 level Blackrock instance. Several years ago I got it from an ogre at Burning Steps while questing. I think ogres have a chance to drop ir :P

the oozling pet has a total average drop rate of 0.135%, meaning that you are going to get one to drop approximately one time out of 800 kills.
