it was 1993 I was working at a popular Garden Center in Milwaukee Wisconsin,one day a kind elderly gentleman Walked up to the counter and took out a coin to show me, it was an Indian head penny. He was not certain what it was ( although I had a odd feeling he did know) .He handed it to me to view. I responded enthusiastically, "this is an Indian Head penny". He said, "would you like it,you can have it?" I said" why don't you keep it, it may be valuable?" "I don't want it" was his response. I think he felt it was of little value to a person such as he, who probably had everything he needed in life and you can't take it with you. so I think my x has the coin,though getting him to admit it will be as likely as find a 1983? double die.! if I do locate ,is it SUPER SPECIAL?🙂 Thanks P.S.;I'm new @this so forgive my ignorance about date of valuable coin refered to above

I just found a steel 1944 lincoln in my penny jar in canada. We stopped using pennies years ago but I kept a huge mason jar full of pennies I use for playing rammoli card game. I have several lincoln and indian head pennies as I have accumulated these pennies for over 40 years and just put them in jars.

Yes this sounds like a small grease filled strike. They are a little common but i personally keep them.

Shirl Bussman I can start you off with each of the eight variety's I'm even thinking I've got evidence of yet a ninth variety of this stage 1982 volly of Penny's , .....I'll just put this much out there now , looking at all the lite or heavy plains (or should I say none "D" marked Penny's if you look in close at the tool marks on the Denver's I've came across several plain 1982's that appear to be those that are actually struck at the denver mint....being that there were several experimental batches sent down the line I'm curious if the D stamps were not on the blank planget's and that they were incidently left off the coins and some I'm thinking are sent out w missing D's is this a possibility ? Or can the pre-stamping on the experimental planget be varified that these were not on all the blanks and or did the mint have to add in the D's? This would indeed be a yet another variety , two actually if in fact you consider both small and large dates and rather or not the mint mark could be missing off the plains ??? Things sure appear to be in line with samples I have that have five and six dift similarities with the Lincoln bust on the observe side and the bldg on the reverse side they both can't have the exact tooling marks from two dift mints ; right ? 🤔😏 Just Kno that bobs found these ones first , lol as well as the 3rd,4th,and 5th new spear locations on the 2005 Jefferson biason nickles I've got 5 speared biasons on the same coins , 8, or 9 that sport all five locations so avg on the front shoulder is $1200 , what's a 5 speared sample worth hmm, I can start you off on these lite and heavy 1982's though I've got samples of all including the d sm date 3.1 g also 3.1g sm date plains and yet another small date plain that has the details of the Denver minted coin , I'm thinking the D's are missing on some of the batch runs ? If that's a possibility but have the 2.5 samples on all types I've been on that mission already for quite awhile now ,lol can you tell ? Now this 1915 wheat penny I have at a wt of 1.5 grams .... Well that's a horse of a different color ! There's only ONE of these and I have had this one for over 40+ years now ! But it's gonna be let out the binder I'm gonna sell this one to the one who wants it most , the bid for the thirst . ....the thirsting is real ! Lolz

I also have a 1982 D 3 grams but I was digging through the comments to see if anyone found anything like it. And literally everyone found one. I don't think that he was telling the truth because there is no way only one of those were ever found and it sold for 18,000 dollars. And if he is lying its was such a waste of time to spend like 2 hours going through my coins then going crazy when i thought i found something. But if he is not the price has to have been lowered now to nothing because if there are this many 1982 D small print coins they cant be worth much.

I have been collecting coins since I was 12 years old. However, when selling, when I was younger, I realize that I was being cheated out of their full value. Now, thanks to you, I am now able to see what I should be looking for, because i have some of the new state quarters in uncirculated condition, that are not perfect, physically, since some have extra metal, but people have tried to convince me that they have no intrinsic value, but watching what you show, tells me otherwise. I now have a large collection of pennies, nickels, dimes,quarters, halves, silver dollars and paper currency that I have collected over the years that are now selling for quite a larger amount than when I first bought them. So, thank you for your valuable information, it has been quite informative. You see, I once had some U.S. gold coins, that I sold for less than they were worth that today, because of their condition, would have been worth keeping, except, the buyer convinced me that they were only worth about $400.00 for the lot of them. Now, I know better. THANKS!

Coin Opp. Mr. Dustin have you thought of covering coins as a tool to help us learn what to look for as well as being able to see the Error or Varieties. Exsample do 60.s thro 65.. Showing about what to look for with each Coin. Then people can pick the Varieties they Really love from each Decade and really Study your videos to help them.. Myself i look for just about everything. I'd be just as happy knowing i found a 1 Cent penny thats worth 3.00 just as much as if i found one worth 50. Or if you ever Deside to make DvDs about them i will Deffintly be ordering a few copys of each. For myself and my son & friends... Thanks for a Grate video keep up the Awsome work......
