5 MONTH CHEAP $170 AMAZON SEAT UPDATE FOR THE Z06. PLUS A POV DRIVE.

So its been almost 6 months and 2500 miles later. Here is how they are holding up. I briefly touch on the carbon wheel and 1.5 din head unit I installed. Enjoy. Feel free to ask questions.

Im def going to check those seats out ive had my 2003 z06 since 2012 has 185k miles bought it at 60k and drives strong still. Lovin the interior you did.

If your steering wheel angle is off center after replacing the steering wheel, then alignment is not your issue. You can alter steering angle by adjusting toe or resetting wheel placement assuming the steering wrack doesn't force the steering wheel into only one position.

I installed these seats on my c5. Thanks for the how to. Much better than stock. I just wish they were ventilated like on my c7.

Not sure if you had the steering wheel centered when you put the new wheel on? Still, you could toe in the FL and toe out the FR on the tie rods until it feels centered, then correct the total toe in/out to get everything centered again... as long as the wheel is centered on the rack. :) Thanks for sharing. Would love to replace the seats on my c5z06, but I haven't seen anything I would consider a direct plug and play solution yet. Thanks for the ideas and thank you for your service.

There is a notch on the C5 wheel. Can ONLY go on one way unlike the C6&X7 where you can just move the teeth a groove or two. 😔

I do not miss Virginia. I like the Corvette though. However I did enjoy fishing for croaker fish at a pier in Norfolk. I’m glad you did the steering wheel swap I was wondering if that was possible. The interior looks very well.

Thanks for the update on the seats. Is the squeak when going around turns what you are talking about annoying you? Like a leather rubbing sound?

Thats not the squeak... What he is talking about is the joint part for the back of the seat is up against the interior plastic panel where the bottom of the seat belt comes out. it's a very tight fit on the driver side compared to the passenger side. The squeaks are just all around in the interior unless you use felt tape literally everywhere plastic meets.

Thinking about the red seats they offer how do you think that will match up with the torch red panels? I’m assuming you had a reason for not doing the full red seats. The really sucky part for me is the brackets you linked to are no longer available.

Do your aftermarket seats with the sliders have the same travel? When I swapped mine out they do not seem to go back as far as the factory seats..

The interior squeaks are the most bothering to me even present in your video, but I've been in old gm cars a lot. Aside from that, going from a 91 camaro to a 2000 camaro and now my 2000 c5 coupe, I love it... Are you still running a stock leaf-spring suspension system? I have coilovers and those along with the seats improved the car greatly in overall feel.

I’ve watched numerous videos of people installing these seats and universal brackets. Drivers side went in no issues. The passenger side has a hump on the inside front. This houses a sensor. The bracket it resting on the housing. Not even close to the bolt. Has anyone have this issue?

Interesting 🤔. I remember that little hump installing them and the bracket sat on top but reached the bolt no issue. I'm on a work trip right now but can measure mine when I get home. You could possibly make a adapter to raise the bolt seating? 🤔🤷🏼‍♂️

Combination of the seats hitting the seatbelt receptacle and weird wind noise. I'm in the process of dynamating the entire car and rectifying the noise. It's not the seats. It's the cheap plastic trim that makes the noise. 🙄
