Your locs look like they are progressing nicely. And yes I have found the Dr bronner's so to be the best (with major dilution, of course) It's still so nice to see someone else with similar hair texture as me at the almost the same point in the loc journey! Can't wait for 6 months!

I'm so happy you're seeing a difference with the water filter. Hard water build up can seriously be a bummer so Im glad things have gotten better. And Dr Bronners! Aye! Im interested in seeing over time how you feel about the soap + rinse. Youve told us about your scalp sensitivities so, at the very least, it will be interesting to see how Dr. Bronners works for you.

I am in *love* with your locs! They fit you so well it's crazy. I'm currently on the fence about starting my own set, but for now I'll just drool over yours and my boyfriends' hair lol.

Your locs are looking awesome! I'm also a fan of Dr. Bronners for washing my locs. I tried other shampoos and they don't get my hair as clean. Also, years ago Chescalocs posted a video about a post-workout oil she uses in between washes. I've been using it on my locs and scalp for several years and it's amazing! The ingredients are simple: jojoba oil (as your carrier and moisturizer), peppermint oil & tea tree oil. After applying she suggests drying your hair and scalp with a blow dryer on cool.

I love Dr. Bronner's, I use it for everything, I love the lavender and peppermint scents but I've been wanting to try the citrus too. Super hype to take my braids out this weekend so I can deep cleanse

Hallease!!!! your locs are looking beautiful. I can't wait to re start my loc journey over in a few months. I'm letting my loose hair grow out some more so I can have a little more length. looking at your I'm not sure if I want to start this set with coils like I did before or switching to two strand twist. um decisions, decisions. Do you palm roll after you interlock?
@hallease
@hallease 8 жыл бұрын
Nope, just interlock and let it do what it do. I want them to be a little thicker/fuller and not as uniform as my first set so i'm trying to not be to heavy with maintenance techniques.

Growth is coming along nicely! Oh, for buildup less= more. I honestly do not use anything in my love except for oils( and only if I'm doing hot oil treatment)

I was told if you have scalp issues we should wash our hair less. like once every 2 weeks. because it brings less irritation, dryness , itching etc. ..

You should use the Taliah Waajid Moisturize Clens for your scalp. Great product.

That's completely up to you. There's really no rule book to having locs. Someone I follow who has essentially been doing what you're talking about since the start of her journey is Lauren Jackson -- kzbin.info check out her channel she's already almost 1.5 years in to her journey.
