fortunately for us they didn't burn and destroy all the 4e books when 5e came out and we can still mine it for all the useful info :)

Very interesting, traps are definitely an often overused bit. But they can be fun, I made a dungeon once with a different trap on each floor. All of which could be worked around with a little brain work or the DCs weren't too high. 1st floor: Rotating Fire Trap(Can be disarmed or broken), 2nd floor: Illusionary Hallway Trap(Will save.), 3rd floor: Bladed Wall Trap(Move carefully single file.), 4th floor: Pit of Spirits(Alcohol)Trap(Use broken boards to get across plus Fortitude save.), 5th floor: Obvious Pit Fall Traps(Work together.), Boss room: Tarred Floor Trap(Stick to the edges or light the floor on fire from outside the room.). Regardless what you decide to do with traps they are best left as surprises, but not every dungeon will have them and even if a villain sets them up they aren't guaranteed to be great. Well that's my bit, have fun! =^_^=

Any time they make a DMG 2 or a Monster Manual 2, book 2 is usually not as strong as book 1. Heaven forbid they make a Book 3! I have a Pathfinder Bestiary 3 and it's full of monsters I would never use because they're so odd.

Monster vault threqts of the nentir vale was actually quite good but its not called monster manual 4 or so. Also dmg2 from 4e had a lot of good advice.
