I am finding the channel very interesting but the lessons didn't grow up since last year. My suggestion: try to develop more advanced contents. Your phrasal and idiom works are great.

Hello dear Ma'am, Could you please tell me which sentence is grammatically correct. ( According to Present subjunctive mood ) ( 1. I hope that God bless him 2. I hope that God blesses him )
@ExtraEnglishPractice5 жыл бұрын
Sorry for our slow reply! You could use either of these, but people often say "God bless him".

Hi my Madam, Could you please tell me are these Sentences correct? How does it come? Can we use whom and who interchangeably 1)To Whom do you support? 2)To who do you support 3)To whom does he support? 4)To whom does South Indian support? 5)To whom do South Indians support? 6) Whom do you support? 7) who do you support 8) whom does he support? 9) whom does South Indian support? 10)whom do South Indians support?
@ExtraEnglishPractice4 жыл бұрын
Who = subject, and whom =object. This means they cannot be used interchangeably. However, these days, it is less common to use "whom" at all, so you could replace "whom" with "who" as the object of a sentence (but the opposite is not true - you cannot use "whom" instead of "who" as a subject) . In sentences 1-5, you should not use "to". That preposition is not used with "support". For example, I can say "I support him", but I cannot say "I support to him". If you remove "to" from your sentences, all of them could be correct.

can you tell me why the name "Barry" says "Berry"? why is it not Bar + ry
@ExtraEnglishPractice5 жыл бұрын
You're right; to follow the rules, it should be spelled Berry. Names are often unpredictable. I know 3 people whose name is Alicia, and each pronounces it differently!

@@ExtraEnglishPractice Could you tell me what makes native speakers know Barry says Berry by looking at it? What rules or clues make native speakers know it doesnt say Bar + ry but Berry? Is it because rry or ry or just the word ends in y? Thank you
