If you want to practice your accuracy then I guess a player can shoot hard but yeah even though it's an excuse it's true about it getting rattled

Why are there some players I see who hit hard and still run tables? That isn't everybody, but there are a few that get away with it.

Just play every cut shot with outside spin. Especially if the ball is against or near the rail. I spent a long time testing which is more effective. Just one tip of outside english makes a big difference.

you dont play rotation at all huh
@bennett27603 жыл бұрын
@@jaspalah there's a mixed bag of rotation players that play straight center ball or use spin.

So I started a new job bout 5 months ago. I was extremely shocked that a ware house actually has a pool table in the break room! I was so excited, I played a lot as a kid with my dad (he played in indiana 9 ball competitions) but MAAAAAAAN that table had a literal crack down the side right under a pocket, you could see the whole table bowing in the middle. I was like welp I will never expect to play any good games on this, but it's still fun to rack them up and shoot at least.

I have a hack for two of thw three things that you talked about, just get a dry beer bottle and lay it on its side toward you and practice stroking your stick through the mouth of the bottle, start out short just going through the edge then work your way down over time and pick up speed to the top of the label of the bottle. It works and your muscle memory will hold that info for when you go to shoot at a ball, just need to practice this technique about 20-30 mins a day or night, and it can be done on any table not just a pool table but a pool table is the best cause its a constant in your playing height.

The problem with a bottle (or other aids such as the HoleyBall) is that it limits the vertical and downward motion of the tip during follow-through, causing an abbreviated or "poke" poor form stroke. Better is to put 2 small same size cardboard boxes on the table, lining up the inner sides of the boxes parallel along the cue travel line with the gap between the sides just a bit wider than the cue diameter. This allows for full vertical motion of the tip. Work on execution of a full and complete proper form straight stroke from back swing through final follow-through with the tip resting on the felt at the end and no elbow drop. Knocking one or both of the boxes away shows stroke problems that can then be addressed (too hard, elbow drop, steering, etc.). See: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hZLLg3Wedqijp6c
