Swedish Landsverk-210 (1932). Fun fact: the Husqvarna company logo is a gunsight.

@@kruti900 Good point! If it wasn't for Royal Enfield's inability to fulfil an Indian military contract by making the motorcycles in UK the brand might not exist today.

Kawasaki Super Sherpa 250 , I heard they were used in operation desert storm but I'm not 100% sure.

The Military KLR650 is pure madmax motorcycle material, runs on literally everything flammable, can take a beating and goes everywhere.

It IS a little tank. I was hoping they’d mount a MK19 on it, or at least a SAW mount.

Really enjoyed that, OYB. Enjoy your historical approach to motorcycles - unique. Keep it up. Thanks.

In 1983 and 84 I owned an old Husqvarnas 250 2 stroke. It was heavy and simple it was a beast with torque and it was very dependable. Just like something the military would need. I was in the Army at Fort Leonardwood Missouri the army trains track and Engineers there. Plenty of dirt tracks to ride for days. Just about the only thing that made being stationed there bearable.

That diesel KLR was unpopular heavy and sucked off road. Probably an upgrade over the KLR 250 we used to have though before it. It was operated by Communication Marines and Maintained by motor transport mechanics. They were phased out for lack of survivability and sold at auction about 10 years ago.

Those Husqvarnas are still in service! I saw a couple of them today infact. I can actually pick one out and use in exercise purposes.

The great MT500 [by CCM] and the MT350 [By harley davedson] have got to be in there, ive got a 350 which is in reguler use, but not intirely origanal. You are more than welcome to have a go on it, if you want. A frend has the 500 which maybe added to the test, if you can start it.

Great video with excellent information. I had a civilian 1989 klr650 bought new in October 1990 it was not bulletproof the engine blew up at a little over 10,000 miles and never could do more than 87 mph down hill. Probably the worst bike i ever had. But the husquvarna in the video is incredible. Thanks for the info.

Sounds not that nice
@joshy4202 жыл бұрын
@@deinemudda569 A diesel one might be better because it would have more torque, if the guy was struggling in sand with a diesel 650 then his civvy model would struggle more. Id imagine all they ever do is offroad so 80mph is very fast. The important thing is whether it can handle the dirt and transmit power well.

Add a light-colored Stetson ...game changer.

The Husqvarna isn’t as bulletproof as the KLR, but lighter and more nimble...which would seem to make it better in combat areas of operation. Neither was used in action enough to know for sure.
