There are 5 cities in Germany that are extremely affordable for students. The cost of living and the prices of accommodation are very low but the cities are home to well-known German universities and offer a good student life. Ideal for German and international students.
Enjoy!

I'm a student who is currently living in Dresden. My main reason to move here was that it was affordable and has a global high ranked university. It's true the city is really good. I call it my home. It gives you a vibe of a big city as well as a town. The city is also quite international and one thing is, living here you can make double your monthly living expenses as a part-time worker, i.e 1200€ and monthly expenses are 600€

I am a student and i am currently living in kiel. I would say it is the most underrated student city in Germany. It is the best city for student i would say. With 200-300€ you can easily manage accommodation here(also private accomodation). There are lots of student jobs here, like working in the cruise ships to working in Gastronomie, Supermarkts etc. I have visited almost every city in Germany and have my friends in almost every cities, kiel is the best city for students..people here are also really good and helpful here. You have lots of things to enjoy especially in summer like kieler Woche. Also other beautiful cities like Hamburg, Flensburg, Lübeck etc are very near. The main drawback is, winter is really depressing here guys.😅😅

For the students coming to Germany, live in big expensive cities, there you can find jobs and earn money while studying, much better than paying little rent with no jobs

I did my masters in Gießen. The cities universities together may have 45.000 students, but a pretty high percentage of them are not living in the city. Therefore there is not really much going on in the city for nightlife. And the proximity to Frankfurt led to rents being fairly high outside official student accommodations. And it's not that easy ro get a room there so there is a high chance you have to rely on the free housing market.

If you want to do something with electrical engineering - especially computer chips/microelectronics, you should definitely go to Dresden. They have by far the best university in this area in Germany wich if more than comparable to universities like MIT in this field. Dresden is the number one chip manufacturer in Europe and now even TSMC is coming and Infineon is right now expanding its factory.

how about part-time jobs there? and also monthly expenses
@Snip3rguY
@Snip3rguY Ай бұрын
@@22satnam you can get part time jobs pretty much everywhere, since there are many university students, there is also a high demand of part time jobs and the employers are adapting to that. So, I am currently with my girlfriend in a 2 bedroom apartment, nice kitchen, bathroom with tub and a Balkony in East Leipzig for 606,00€ a month. Internet, electricity and other stuff like Netflix and so on cost about 100€ a month. Groceries I would say about 250/300€ each for a month. Food like takeaway or restaurants we pay from like min 7€ each to about max40€ each for a nice evening. I hope that helps :)

I believe that you should have atleast €900 approximately to have good student life, isn't it?
@maxyoko
@maxyoko 2 ай бұрын
The government recommends 850 but 900€ is even better yes, especially in cities like Munich or Hamburg

Only problem I see is that most cheaper places to live for students are in the AfD popular areas. If you are a woke uni students in these areas you might have a rough time...
