Hey thanks for watching! Here are some of my favorite techniques based on wing chun concepts. Which one do you like best? #5, #4, #3, #2, #1?

The fingerjab and oblique kick, because I also train those in jkd. I wouldn't extend the fingers completely when throwing a fingerjab, instead throw it at a slight angle with slightly bent and loose fingers. If you can throw it against a wall without hurting yourself it will be safe to throw against an opponent.
@mightymeatmonsta
@mightymeatmonsta 7 жыл бұрын
NONE, since you really don't know wing chun. If you take crappy JKD with your wing chun, that only means you don't know the real wing chun, the traditional. How long have you been studying anyway? You only learn the five deadliest techniques AFTER you learn the basic techniques, and footwork, along with the TEN CONCEPTS, which I can BET, you've never heard of before. JKD is just a second rate martial art because it only uses 5 concepts instead of all ten, and uses other stiff, crappy systems, like karate and muay thai. For wing chun to work properly, you must know the WHOLE SYSTEM, including proper footwork, proper way to close the distance, and the ten concepts, which not only dictates proper response in a fight, but also gives the system it's flexibility. You must also use ALL TEN CONCEPTS AT ONCE when using the system. Even taking ONE out, like the triangle, as they do in crappy JKD, then that weakens the structure and the system and causes openings that can be exploited by your opponent. Remember, TRADITIONAL wing chun is the ONLY FULLY CONCEPTUAL MARTIAL ART ON THE PLANET! This means that the response is based on concepts, NOT techniques, which make the system stiff and rigid, and limited in it's response to an attack.

NO, I bashed JKD, which is a second-rate system. The only reason why JKD worked for Bruce is that he was superhuman in his skills and speed.

I can't believe this.people are so full with hatred.and the funny thing is that they call themselves martial artist.they hate wing Chun,they hate jkd and many others martial arts.according to them only their martial art is great and rest doesn't even exist.they just talk bullshit about masters who dedicated their life learning and teaching martial arts.and an idiot guy here calling jkd crappy.idiot jkd is a great martial art created by a great martial artist.you call yourself a martial artist then I guess your master is some kind of psycho with crappy mentality........the guy who uploaded this video,keep up the good work man,this video is awesome.

when a boxer start to block the best way to mount an attack is to use a decoy strike to the forearm and strike with a lethal strike to the lower stomach region, but you also have to be quick , for the opponent has many openings to strike back if not fast enough

Interesting video, a different take on wing chun then I'm used to seeing, however people are saying it is JKD and not Wing Chun... I wouldn't know, I'm not terribly familiar with wing chun, have only seen some videos about it. Only thing I don't care about is your demonstration partner. Just because you throw on some camo and a krav maga shirt doesn't mean you know krav maga. He doesn't even know the basic stance, and he clearly didn't know how to burst when you were demonstrating how to defend against an advancing opponent. Anyways, pretty cool seeing similar aged people showing love for their art, keep it up.

2 alternatives for biu sau, ginger fist or pheonix eye fist, they both take less time to train, alot less time another small note is on chain punch, you can use it like gum sau.. you strike with forearms to climb/sink bridge, this opens gate for straight punch

Well Executed but this is more JKD that Wing Chung. These techniques can work for young, thinner snappy type body. But as always you must have the relaxed but focused mind under the stress of real attack. The strike to the elbow is not likely to do any damage really on larger person. Of course if you can do it with full body torque and real power it can have an effect. But few will achive that in an actual fight. Even so I like the video instruction and it will have alue to many.

You may have to settle for modified wc if you can't find a good traditional school and just supplement his training with traditional footwork, proper way to close the distance and anti-takedown and grappling techniques from wing chun right here on you tube. The footwork is not hard to learn. It is a circle inside a triangle, so all it is is a circular movement to the outside of the attacking arm, moving at a 45 degree angle and a body rotation square. To close the distance properly, I would recommend you read Beginning Wing Chun by Alan Gibson, a master and former student of Wong Shun Leung.

Wing chun has the bart cham dao form (butterfly knives). But traditionally, they don't teach how to defend AGAINST a knife attack with the wing chun form. I have combatives training which is big on defending against knife attacks, so I combine that with wing chun and it works quite well.
