Why would a person feeding cows and watching some land need to be single and older? That would be a red flag to me.
@Kira_Martel
@Kira_Martel Жыл бұрын
I actually see that fairly frequently on property manager/land steward gigs. Usually the property owner doesn't want to deal with young people and couples who have busy social lives and could want to bring more people to their property. Giving free rent to one person is less of a burden on them than giving it to a couple, a family, or folks who want to make that land into their new party location.

Yeah same thing I posted above - very odd for the two men to lure out “down on their luck” men to the dark to rob them. I mean, men that are homeless or down on their luck tend to not carry much on them to rob.. these were thrill killings

I mean HH Holmes did both, also with itinerants. And inversely it’s debated whether he should be considered a serial killer, the main argument being over whether he killed first and foremost for material gain as opposed to a primarily psychological “benefit”.

My experience on Craigslist was insane. I was meeting up with someone to do a gig but didn’t check the location beforehand. When I arrived, construction was going on in the area and it looked pretty much abandoned. Anyways, I was about to get out of my car but from the corner of my eye, I saw two guys trying to sneak up behind my car. Mind you this was a dead end area, and also saw a car peered to the side out of sight in a dark area. I hauled ass in reverse and dipped out so fast. I was about 18 and didn’t know any better, mind you it was dark outside, around 9pm. When I pulled off, I see more than 7 guys watching me as I backed out

Aside from that, I very much like the narration voice and style here. At this point I don't believe it's AI, seems too good for that as so far I have not picked up any weird pronunciations, which are a turn-off. I've run across a couple of other channels where AI pronounces addresses and so on very oddly/artificially and I immediately turn those off and don't subscribe. The first ad is full of red flags that anyone should have been able to notice. 1. Why would they prefer a caretaker to be single? That has no effect on your ability to do the job, and a vast majority of people in relationships have no problem doing their jobs competently. 2. Why would the interview for a southwest Ohio farm job take place 2+ hours away in northeast Ohio? Surely if they were serious they’d want to show you around the farm you’d be working at. 3. If it’s a farm, why is it also a hunting preserve? Seems counterintuitive if you want to keep animals alive and safe (until slaughter that is…). I’m not trying to victim blame at all, but come on. We need to teach internet literacy to people so it isn’t this easy to be scammed and potentially killed.

Craigslist videos are some of the best ones. At the very least, you're getting a bird's-eye view into the mind of an exotic (read: extremely creepy) criminal attempting to harvest victims from society, and at most, you find out about some terrifying ways that people have been lured to -- or narrowly avoided -- horrible fates.

I grew up in Rockford, MI. I rode the bus with the son of Ann Marie Linscott. We were good friends as we lived just down the street from each other. We still talk to this day. I vividly remember this happening. At first it seemed like a rumor and I didn't believe it at first. It wasn't until she was actually arrested that it became real. Truly crazy to see this in a video on KZbin almost 16 years later.

In the UK I think you have 30 days to report a death. Failing to report the death is illegal, even if the death was non-suspicious. Very recently I heard of a case in Birmingham UK where someone's housemate ("roommate" for Americans) died of natural causes, but the surviving housemate kept the body in a freezer and continued to claim his welfare benefits.
