You should do a series on machine lathes! From the earliest to the Present. Even computer chips would not be possible with out this industrial innovation...

How difficult would it be, in this age of the internet, for the voice over artist to find a skilled German speaker to teach him how to pronounce the German names in this video?
@freshfrasier14434 жыл бұрын
They pronounce knots as K.N. It's classic youtube garbage.

Why, why, WHY do you think you're obliged to add those kinds of sparks, or flames everywhere ? It just denaturates the video...

Bertha is such a failure and all of seattle who drives in that tunnel hates the fact they did that. The viaduct was free and safe. If you want to go back and forth through the 30 second bertha tunnel it is over 5 dollars a day. What a scam. Awful.

You missed the most impressive of all. The Large Hadron Collider. How you missed it is a mystery to me.
@bosoerjadi28384 жыл бұрын
I initially had the same thought, but the machines that were listed have in common that they can all move autonomously, deliberately and as a whole. As far as I know, the LHC, however jaw-droppingly awesome in any other way, appears to lack that specific feature. Imho the Apollo-Saturn V moonlanding combination could and should have qualified for a top 5 listing, though. Paul Allen's Stratolauncher can safely be relegated a bit further down.

@@bosoerjadi2838 It makes particles move at almost the speed of light. Counts for me. Or are you saying this is about vehicles not machines?
@bosoerjadi28384 жыл бұрын
@@apathyguy8338 Since all the listed machines happen to be vehicles, I'm saying that it would be safe to make that assumption. I'd even go one step further by assuming the channel misnamed the list on purpose, to generate comments such as ours.

For the rest of the world, where feet is what's under our ankles, can you also quote measurements in meters? (Metres for our fellow Brits)
@budsbustbi63394 жыл бұрын
only if you make every other one that only give meters to also give feet!!

In this video, "impressive" seems to be synonymous with "biggest". I think there are other forms of impressive but may challenge the common notion of "machine". For example the CERN accelerator, Hoover dam, Z-pinch machine, electron microscopes, etc. etc. What sorts of machines out there have very impressive capabilities that most people do not know of? I have seen some very impressive machining videos of 6 or more axis mills/lathes. I have seen videos of huge lathes, and giant foundry operations and those of course *are* impressive, but what ones would you present as the fastest, most functional, most configurable, widest array of capabilities - not just biggest?
