New 52 is my entry into comics, it has some of my favorite runs, aquaman by geoff johns and scott snyder’s batman

I’m so glad the new 52 justice league worked for you! It wouldn’t make my list personally just because the new 52 characterization differences really stood out, but there is some INCREDIBLE action stuff in there! My list would be Batman by Loeb/Sale, 52, Batman by Grant Morrison Vol 1, Wonder Woman by Perez, and GL by Johns

Yeah loving it so far! That New 52 JL run just feels like the best kind of blockbuster movie franchise ha. Just simple fun. I’m actually reading the 52 omnibus now, definitely enjoying the ride especially after finishing the infinite crisis omnibus 👏📚 You’ve got some awesome choices as well! Thanks for sharing :)

I loved Scott's first story with the owls because it was so fresh and original but then he went right into the Joker and that for me is where the wheels came off, I am beyond sick of the overuse and saturation of the Joker and ironically he is my favorite Batman villain but for me I just feel Scott's run would have been better had he not doubled down on the Joker.

I can see that criticism for sure! I liked his Joker’s stories but didn’t Love them. I would say I preferred his other story arcs more overall. Loved Court of Owls, loved Zero Year, and I actually really enjoyed some of the stories from his back half of the run with Gordon as well which is a Hot Take for some 🤷🏻‍♂️🦇

Broooo I know it had to be HARD for you to put this list together haha. Glad I’m not the only one who was impacted from Geoff Johns Justice League run. What a ride that was. Great and exciting video as always Dom ! 🤘🏾 And I have alot I want from DC: The Flash by Joshua Williamson (WHICH IS COMING NOW OMG), Red Hood & The Outlaws (Rebirth Era), Impulse by Mark Waid, Green Arrow by Percy, Superman by PKJ, Nightwing by Dixon, Supergirl by Peter David, DCeased by Taylor, Booster Gold by Jurgens, INJUSTICE 2, Green Lantern: Kyle Rayner Years, and Aquaman by Dan Abnett. Ok I'll shut up now haha.

I’m still making my way through that JL New 52 run but I just love it so far! To me it feels like every arc is just a great blockbuster action story. Art is always solid and just pure entertainment for me 💪👏 Love your picks below for Omnis! I know I’d love a Nightwing Dixon Omni, excited they’re doing a compendium vol 1 but yeah would love that OHC.. I’d personally love if those Batman Caped Crusader and Dark Knight Detective runs they’ve been doing in paperbacks got Omnis (because you can never have too much Batman 😉🦇)

I have 5 DC omnibuses. Batman Knightfall, Knight Crusade, and Knightsend and the first two Giffen Justice League ones. Third volume on preorder. I'll stack those up against any existing omnibus. Psst, DC- give me a Lobo omnibus!

I loved new 52, for me it was fun to read it and kinda pretend like a was a new comic book reader cause at the time new 52 came out I had been a DC reader for 40 years. I remember thinking if I was a someone picking up these (first time comic reader) it would be an easy entry point.

That’s awesome! And I love hearing from longer time fans who still enjoyed New 52. I feel like generally the criticism I hear often is longtime fans were alienated by how it messed with DC continuity and new readers enjoyed having a fresh place to begin. Again generalities but love coming across a longer term fan of DC who liked that era too! 📚 I may have mentioned it in the video but new 52 was right around when I started collecting comics for myself so I was one of those newer readers who felt like I got in on the ground floor of something that was super easy to jump in on! 👏💯

@@TheComicBookReport yes, its great has some heartbreaking stories in it as you read whats happening to the residents of Gotham and what some of Batmans rogue gallery are up to. I loved the entire run and the art is fantastic. Highly recommended

Every so often I will buy a month of a particular service. I’ve definitely try a handful of them. Although I have not used them lately. The experiences I’ve had with them have been positive , and I have a lot of friends that highly recommend them and use them often

@@davidthenewtheologian7757 especially if you buy the digital services monthly, you’ll have access to a huge catalog of titles as a newer reader, it could be a great and relatively inexpensive way to check out a lot of books and figure out who your favorite characters writers artist all are
