Happy Sunday everyone! This week it's a video on networking tips for introverts! Let us know what you think! Also, you guys might noticed that we have been producing fewer and fewer videos. The truth is our funds is starting to dry out and we need to be a bit more selective with the rate of our production. Hope you guys won't mind that! However, we have the list of topics of stuff you guys suggested so those will still come out! Enjoy your Sundays everyone!

Just restructuring the finances and op side to make things work. @Nikki, we have actually. We're thinking of seeing how that works! Thanks for the suggestion! @Paul, how so? Can you elaborate? :)

Anonym 1 It's not about getting more friends. It's about establishing connections and contacts that may come in very handy later in your life. You may get new opportunities that you wouldn't have gotten without networking, and that's why it's important.

I think it depends on the situation, you have a circle of close friends already formed but what if you have to go far away from them and work/study somewhere else... eventually you would need contacts/friends to better adapt yourself to your new surroundings. It's not necessary but it can make things easier or relaxed in certain places or situations.

As an introvert I found Music is the best way to connect. Once I find out someone I just met likes similar music, I have a lot of stuff to discuss and it makes it really easy for me to do a lot of talking. I can't count how often I met friends via music.

Conversations are soooooo hard sometimes! That's why texting is 100000000 times better and easier, I can send people texts that fill up 4 to 5 phone screens but when I have to talk to them in person I often lack ideas what to talk about... and then after the conversation I'm like "wait, I could have said this and that too... dammit, now it's too late!"And networking is hell. I just want to have my little circle of friends and not have to deal with more people ^sigh^

You don't know annyeonghaseyo? No, of course not. My sibling is the same. But if you dig deeper, these people might have more things in common with you than you think haha. (Is this about liking kpop etc? Because I'm friends with people who don't care about kpop and it's H A R D haha) I suck at talking to basically anyone and the more we have common interests the harder it is, because i turn into a weird ass person when talking about things I like

You don't know annyeonghaseyo? Likes and dislikes are not really good or bad. What matters is what you do about them - how you behave. You can prefer talking with people you have a lot in common with; most people do. But if that is all you do, you're missing on some different ideas. And in practice you will usually have to work with people who don't have a lot in common with you; the best teams are often groups wirh _different_ skill sets and perspectives. However, a preference does not actually stop you; you have a choice. Go do it anyway. You may get to like meeting new people; you may not. (I confess - I find it hard work, even if it's sometimes genuinely interesting). But they're more likely to like _you_ and you'll be better able to work with them. That's probably a good outcome.

But we should avoid asking questions without any kind of information about ourselves, because no one wants to be interrogated by a stranger haha. So maybe something like "so what made you come here?" They'll be like, "my friend made me come here." Then you reply with "oh! That's funny, my friend made me come here too. I dunno why, though. She told me to be her emotional support, but there she is fine, hanging out with people I don't know." And maybe they'll continue off about that. If theyy don't, maybe you can ask. Unless thry really seem like they don't give a shit hahaha

I have some other way to deal wtih small talks or "networking". I am asking questions all the time, shaking head, looking into eyes, pretending to be very interested, and the other person is talking. I don't say anything about me and I give an impression that I care what other have to say (while I don't, when it's not my friend).

In short, if you feel that you don't really *_need_* blood-and-flesh people to socialize with, and if you feel that it *_drains your "energy"_* if you actually _do_ have other people around you (which could eg. be at school, at work, at a party) - then yes, you could most certainly be an introvert.

Well... lately ive been making a lot of new friends and its gotten easier for me to network or talk to folks in real life, however because of this ive been feeling like i need to take some time to myself and like.. recharge. Networking doesn't require talking to people. We have texting and typing on the internet.

I mean... it's a way to network I suppose. But the idea feels so, _so_ wrong to me... Like, I seek few deep relationships with other people. Even if I were to overcome my rather consequent fear at the idea of "networking", that wouldn't suppress the fact that the concept means I make relationships for the sake of having more of those, not for any amount of interest in the person. It seems just _so_ backwards. I can give the impression of connecting, but then I won't have actually connected with the person, they might think I have but I likely won't. If I were to connect to this person, then need to use that connection later on, I probably won't remember jack sheez about the person, let alone feel any bond with them. Also, I can fake through it all I want, I still have mental batteries to maintain and if I'm drained, I'm drained. Game over. Conversation won't go much further and I'll probably seek any way not to talk to anyone out of pure reflex.

Networking is a sham, it's just a new phrase for "what can you do for me". I value my time and don't want to be bogged down with b.s. state your case, if there are fallacies with it, then I'll say something. If it's complete garbage and cant be salvaged, your future input will be ignored. I just don't like people wasting my precious time.
