Hi Guys love the roll up boat hook! Just checking. The marine hygiene tabs claim to digest limescale? As its this that blocks the blackwater holding tank pipes and toilet valves, etc. Not an electric motor fan. Importantly!! Looking at the specs. That 7.5 Mercury is Li-Ion batteries not LiFePo4 and we all know the risks with them...... Your first lithium fire will make you think differently. It's also 1.5 Kg heavier than the 3.5 Hp 4 stroke. With a massive carbon footprint compared to the same IC engine over its limited lifetime. I think the Green claims are overstated.. Sail Safe Guys, Ant & Cid.

Hey guys, The boat hook is such a good idea, can’t wait to test it to see how robust it is. As for the heads tablets.. Yup, the organisms eat the solids to prevent build up of scale. I’m not sure the scale is limescale though, it may be some form of calcium? Give the guys a call, they have a chemist who will tell you all about it 👍 Good to see the mainstream players looking at sustainable offerings, I guess everyone has to start somewhere. It will be good to see where where they go next. It’s a tricky game at the moment, but safety should definitely be at the top of the list! Lithium fires are a real sceptical to be viewed from a distance! 👍

When I was writing for The International Yachting Media, I was lucky to Test the Mercury AVATOR outboard at the BOOT Dusseldorf boat show and marina. It's not a bad bit of kit easy to use and charge the battery cassette. Would I buy one as a cruser? We will see.
