For planning on HSA contributions and how big to make it... can you clarify this.. I heard that HSA can NOT be used to pay for Medicare Part B premiums or Supplemental plan premiums.. is this true ? Thanks

HSA money CAN be used to pay for Medicare premiums (part B, D, or Medicare Advantage premiums) but NOT for supplement premiums

Useful info, thanks Eric. I wasn’t aware of the new Roth catch up mandate for 2026. Can you do a video discussing the pros and cons of juicing up 401k contributions temporarily if the market has a major correction? I’m trying to work out if that would make sense (basically sacrificing some income today to buy stocks while they’re on sale).

2:54 not really such a great solution when you bought into the 529 concept early and are now 6 figures over-funded, with a 34% tax hit looming, rather than 15%. It’s something, but a bigger limit would certainly be nice. (Did two of these rollovers on January 5th). Thanks for the ongoing updates - always informative/useful.

Retirement is now more difficult than it was in the past. it's all about balancing your risk tolerance with your long-term goals. Maybe consider speaking to an advisor to help in diversifying your portfolio to spread out the risk

My wife and I live off of our 401K. We don't work. I recommend highly to everyone to build your 401K or Roth IRA's as an alternate revenue stream in retirement to your Social Security. An observation on 401K's is when it gets over 300K it starts to accelerate. When you get over 500K it can really accelerate as the stock market grows

I don't really blame people who panic. Lack of information can be a big hurdle. I've been making more than $200k passively by just investing through an advisor, and I don't have to do much work. Inflation or no inflation, my finances remain secure. So I really don't blame people who panic.
