The first statement about playing on exterior doors and windows at the start of a round is inaccurate. Players are encouraged to play close to the entry points to gather information by listening. Within 3m of a door or window the audio transitions to allow you to listen through the door/window using HRTF to pinpoint their location.

Well said! That’s a little different than having your back turned to the window or door though. If you’re going to contest map control (which is a great plan) then just be paying attention so you don’t die to an attacker’s accidental wall bang.
