With that topic I expected at least one Sabaton theme to come up. I was waiting for the Attack of the Dead Men, but the Night Witches also deserve this. Just for those who have no idea what we are talking about: Animated Music Video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fHa6n6GLnMZoqqM Sabato Live Performance: kzbin.info/www/bejne/rna3YpSKl857pNE Sabaton History: kzbin.info/www/bejne/o3zHY5J9fNmBiNk Yes, this Metal Band has a second channel just to let a historian explain the historical facts of their songs. That's the kind of "socialist" free education Sweden brings to the world ;-)

The Ghost Army story reminded me of the time I was driving on a South Carolina interstate. I was sailing along with a bunch of other vehicles, and we were all going _just a bit_ over the speed limit, when suddenly we came across what we thought was a highway patrolman parked on the side of the road. The next thing you know, all we could see was was a flurry red of break lights. So imagine our shock when we discovered the patrol car was just a very realistic, life-sized cardboard cutout, including a detailed cardboard patrolman inside wearing dark sunglasses. I was unaware the South Carolina Department of Public Safety had a sense of humor, but they punked the heck out of us that day! I have yet to seen another one, but the psychological damage has been done. Whenever I pass that stretch of interstate, my immediate reaction is to slow down. 🤣

I'd like to read that book myself, so if you can tell me the title, I'd try to hunt down a copy. As soon as Night Witches popped up, I had to pause the video and look for the Sabaton comments. I was not disappointed. 😁

This was the first time I had heard about the paratrooper-canines. Fascinating to say the least, and, perhaps, at the most, let's say... unconventional.

I broke my collarbone when I was a teenager. It was the most uncomfortable injury I ever had. Especially waking up on it after rolling onto it during the night. Get well soon Simon!

Having served in in US Army PSYOP in the Cold War and 1st Gulf War I would like to see an episode on PSYOP units throughout the world. PSYOP attracts smart people who are often odd ducks too.
