Astonishing beautiful..nice shots! The hot springs tho !! Wawww. I wish I had watched this last summer before booking ... I had a choice between Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 and Costa Rica , I ended up picking Puerto Rico ! Why? Cuz: I had a pin up calendar in my dorm room years ago while in college with some beautiful pictures of flamenco beach and I always wanted to visit old San Juan too. But lookalike Costa Rica is more adventurous.. and more eco friendly.. ps: Hope next time! If there will be? won’t be skeptical about my choices.. thanks again for sharing...

Oh wow! I would loooove to go to Puerto Rico too! hahaha I know what you mean - there's something awesome about having a photo of a place for years and finally going there! I had a photo of Paris on my desk at work for years before I finally booked the tickets. It feels like a huge life moment when you finally get there!! I didn't realise how big the focus on eco-tourism would be in Costa Rica. It was really great to see :) P x

The hot springs in Costa Rico are awesome. I recommend Tabacon or The Springs in Arenal.

Great question! I should've mentioned it in the video :) We did their Classic Costa Rica tour. They said it's their most popular CR tour, which makes sense cos it takes you everywhere. Our tour leader's name was Edgar - if you do the tour with him, you're in for a treat! He's an amazing guide! So passionate about Costa Rica, the wildlife, eco-tourism etc. Sorry to have added another place to your bucket list, Felix! Hahah P xx

Do you mind if I ask what camera equipment you brought/would recommend? We’re visiting CR in June and I’d love to bring our Fuji Xt2, probably with a couple lenses, but I’m concerned it will be more of a hassle to carry around through the more adventurous activities and difficult to take care with the rainy season humidity and weather.

Of course! We were filming videos for YT and taking photos for our website the whole time so we took our full camera kit - 2 x Sony Cameras (6400 and 6500 + one spare lens), an Osmo pocket, GoPro and a drone. From memory, I don't believe we were able to use the drone often as it wasn't legal to do so. We're used to carrying all our gear around with us and have a wet bag (waterproof bag) which we used for some activities. For things like the tubing we just used our GoPro. Just because of the nature of what we do, we bring all our gear with us everywhere we go. There were SO many amazing photo opportunities, especially of animals, that I'd definitely recommend having a good camera and a good lens with you that can zoom RIGHT IN! A lot of the sloths and toucans etc were very high up in the trees and hard to see without the right lens.

There's so much good stuff to see and do across Costa Rica, my recommendation is to do a tour. We did ours with Intrepid and it was great cos it took the stress out of it for us in terms of organisation! Our guide took us to all the spots we needed to go, sorted out accommodation and we got to see and do it all!
