Cool idea for a video. I would just like to know why you chose forsaken cheating and not the ibuypower matchfixing scandal. I would say the latter was a bigger deal given we had 4(?) players getting banned for life essentially

Word.exe was way bigger than the ibuypower scandal
@andreasthiemke95203 күн бұрын
@@savagex1322 I think that is recency bias talking The indian pro scene isn't really that big and optic india was ranked 120th at their peak. but ibp was one of, if not the biggest team from NA at the time, and got caught doing something quite serious. Matchfixing can lead to criminal charges, but in this case lead us to lose top cs players and exciting talent like swag. So I would argue that the ibp scandal was worse both in scale and outcome

@@savagex1322word.exe was funny, but ibuypower was a way bigger deal

@@andreasthiemke9520 Its not recency bias. Don't get me wrong, the ibp scandal was mega. What made Forsaken's cheating scandal even bigger was not the names involved (maybe a little cause of optic and the incident literally killing the Indian pro cs scene) but the nature of the way he chose to do it. Word.exe literally became a staple meme in esports recognizable and used across different games.
