You are never going to beat the sound of a 2 into 1 performance header on a Harley… I’ve always been partial to the thunder header on my bikes as that’s what was popular back in the day when I built mine.. Can’t just do exhaust in my opinion. Got to go all out and build the motor as well. Back in the day, the 88 twin cam is what we were building. Harley didn’t make the bigger motors they make now..

Thanks for the videos. Great information. Try using a decibel app for the exhaust comparisons to measure loudness. Put it a set distance from the exhaust and rev to a set RPM for a fair comparison.

Good advice. I’m waiting on my 21 SG being built by Protwin performance. It’s all what you want and need. 2-up hot rod or straight line rocket. You may need 2 HD’s to make it happen. D&D was my choice, can’t beat that sound. Love the content and straight talkin.

Although sound is subjective....Raspy and medium deep is the best especially on a carb. The m8s have that scissor gear which contributes to that honda ish sound. On the Evo and twin cam carbs, you get the great downshifting that is wha wha wha wha... love it! They don't make them like that anymore. So I'm going to do the best of both worlds and I'm going to convert my 2017 Breakout to a carb. More low end and easy to work on. Not that I need it because she's already at 128hp and 141tq. Oh....and did I mention the sound of a carb over efi? ....

The gold color is typically good… lean pipe is blue. Bassani pipe is very hard to beat… dyno proven. Burns pipes are outrageously expensive for just a little if any more power than bassani. If my mind serves me 2400.00 compared to 765.00 bassani 777 which made incredible power/torque on my 131” R&R twin cam.

what kind of top speed will a 177 hp engine provide you? I have a harley, a chief and a Honda CTX 1300, and out of the factory with no additions my CTX will give me about 120 miles/hr, and it could go faster as I restrain myself as I am a 60 year old dude, and want to end my days chewing my own stakes. My 2016 ultra at stage 1 with Kuryakyn Crushers will verily top 95 m/hr. I wanted to see if any other slip-on will provide me with a bit more speed. I hate when a granny on a van passes me on the interstate.

I find it odd that zippers would recommend a khrome werks system to run with their kits and cams , not that there is anything wrong with them. But I was told by Rusty the owner of D&D and the guys at zippers that zippers design their cams and kits to run with a D&D exhaust.

If you actually watched this video you would have seen and heard him say that zippers recommends the D&D 2 into 1 and you heard tall say that the D&D delivers better performance, BUT he wanted to switch to KW because he liked the looks of the 4.5 inch tips and he also liked the sound just fine. So I'm a biker living near a popular biking road. Can I please beg all bikers to grow up a little and consider the hundreds of people they are disturbing with loud exhausts. Your bike isn't going faster, its just going louder. You can be prosecuted by the police on video evidence of disturbing the peace with loud exhausts, if evidence is submitted showing a distant motorcycle a mile away getting closer and louder. The police are duty-bound to investigate and may require you to attend a police station with your bike for a decibel test. Offensive exhausts are not just a bit of fun.
