An addition to the atomatron dlc would be cool too as a robobrain…
@duanekc2 жыл бұрын
Lets be honest; Bethesda handed us everything we need in F4 to resolve Bradberton's problem. Bert Riggs, one of the scientists who developed the Robobrain and indeed, survived to 2287 *as* a Robobrain and Isabel Cruz, AKA The Mechanist, who managed to get the production facility up and running again despite it being in a lockdown state and started producing Robobrains herself. Riggs also had plans to create cloned bodies for himself and his fellow Vault survivors when the time came to emerge. There is no reason the same tech can't be applied in Bradberton's case.

I will disagree with the blame on the FEV for one reason and one reason only - We are all responsible for our own actions. Any of those people could have just left at any time when they felt their morals were being ignored, but they didn't. They chose to stick around, they chose to continue their work, and they chose to help create the FEV. Saying it's the blame of one man solely because he was in charge is just pushing blame, and pretending like the others didn't have functioning brains of their own. They are all equally to blame, and equally influential in this context.
@DovahFett2 жыл бұрын
Depends on the conditions they worked under. It is not unheard of for people working on top secret science projects in the world of _Fallout_ to be forced or "encouraged" to complete their work. One such example is Cambridge Polymer Labs, which trapped its own employees in order to make finish their work on a new type of power armor alloy. Another example is the scientists who were creating diseases and cures for Vault-Tec inside Vault 81. After they were cut off by the vault's Overseer for attempting human testing they were doomed to die, and while they could have just stopped their work entirely and given up, they instead decided to spend the rest of their lives making amends by creating the ultimate cure. Obviously, they still bear some responsibility for being willing to experiment on people without their consent in the first place, but like the people in Polymer Labs, they didn't really a choice after a certain point. Someone else had already chosen for them, and their only chance at gaining freedom or accomplishing something worthwhile before they died was to continue their work. Utilitarianism is a big theme in Fallout, especially when talking about people from the pre-war period. Lots of little people intending to do some good, but finding themselves being lead long bad roads by someone much more powerful than themselves. Some go along with it willingly, others begrudgingly because they don't see any other options that don't compromise their safety. Workplace *_accidents_* in _Fallout_ are far from uncommon.
@malykoth2 жыл бұрын
@@DovahFett Also for 'accidents' and mysterious disappearances to happen to those who cause trouble. A scientist trying to leave a project in the middle of it would probably be considered 'causing trouble'! Hey, you gotta test that FEV on someone, right?

I think the opinion would be a meh concept, I think it would be better to list their ideologies and how they want to work then ask the viewers what aspects they like and dislike about each faction.
@helgrin87542 жыл бұрын
that's actually pretty easy because the only viable solution is NCR with support from brotherhood/NCR alone legion dies when ceasar dies mr house has no way to control more than mojave area institute is playing with fire and having problems with railroad, which shows that they have no way of becoming a powerful nation vault tec is vault tec, c'mon ncr already created a country out of nothing, is able to keep peace using soldiers, they are recovering technology to create rails and power armors. They are the only ones that managed to make a proper country in the wastes. And if You played fallout 1 and 2 You'll see how much they grew in just 100 years. From pathetic 3 hut village to biggest city in the game, also, at the end of fallout 2 it controls the whole area in which You are playing in which has at least 6 decently sized and prosperous settlements like san francisco and vault city

There were a ton of unethical research studies going on in the US prior to the Divergence and only stopped (mostly) with media exposure of government-funded horrors in the 1970s.
