Crocodile is my favorite one piece villain and in marineford he was awesome literally went up against the current fleet admiral, the strongest swordsman in the world, the strongest man, the joker

I don't really hate any characters except for the villains that very good being villains that made me love to hate them. But for some exception, there are characters that I hate at first but love them now (your examples are some except Franky and Law). 1. Dadan - I dont really have any reasons to hate her but because she's an important one for raising 3 big characters but doesnt seem have a unique personality made her once one of my least liked characters, but as time passes, the more they show her, the more I appreciate her. 2. Brulee - tbh she was really creepy at first but after knowing her cute relationship with her brother Katakuri, that made me love her. 3. Pudding - I think the reason is very common for other people too. 4. Big Mom - I never really liked her when I first time watched the series, but after rewatching it with some YT reactors and with their analysis with Big Mom, they made me understand and love her character now. 5. Blackbeard - he is a villain that I hate and turned to love to hate. But after time passes, I really hate that I love him. Because he seems like the most pirate character ever. When he shows up, he is intimidating and I love that. 6. Nami - She has haters whose reasons they hate her is because she is bossy, but thats not my reason. I dont really hate her but because she is one of the first characters introduced with only few known characters yet and she doesnt have that much personality at the very early episodes which made her one of the least liked characters made me kinda hate her? Like some of the first characters have THAT personality in the early days. We have the happy Luffy who wanted to be the King of the Pirates, Zoro being a chill badass swordsman who always gets injured, Usopp who is relatable being coward and lies, and that time, I even like Koby and Chouchou more than her. But that changes after she betrayed the crew during Baratie and I was like, "There must be some deep meaning about this.", and my love for her boosted in Arlong Park. And she is now currently one of my most favorite One Piece character ever. 7. Buggy - he was straight up really just a clown when I first met him and didnt like him that much. But his comic relief really made me love him as episodes passes. 8. Robin - I dont really get good vibes from her when she first appeared as Miss All Sunday and even when she first joined the crew. I did respect and loved her after Enies Lobby. But she was still one of my least liked characters maybe because she is just mostly chill? But her dark humor and charm grew on me that made me love her even more. 9. Bartolomeo - he was really a weird character when he was first introduced, but ya know what happened... 10. Enel - he is a villain so he should be hated but he literally become a stress reliever for me as I watch more of Skypiea

i hated usopp, he was funny at times but mostly annoying. but after he got beat up, i realized the things i hated usopp for were his insecurities and after that i really admired him, as he genuinely started at the bottom. no origin story, not really anything except his mom dying. just a normal dude.

Hard agree to all of these, felt the exact same way. Also senor pink was one of those characters for me as well. Hated him when he was first introduced but as soon as he gets into the fight with franky and we get to see his backstory I grew to like him more

I pretty much agree with all of these lol. Except for Bon Clay, just because I've always thought he was silly and very strange, and I liked his devil fruit. And I was very very happy to see him return during impel down. I definitely didn't like Franky at the beginning either. But he grew on me so quickly during the sea train and Enies Lobby. By the end I was a massive Franky fan lol

Crazy how these 3 of these 5 characters( crocodile law and Katakuri) are all in my top 10 one piece characters, W list tbh, for me I’d say I hated momonosuke at first since he was just some unfunny Pervy kid but after seeing Odens flashback and the conclusion to wano he’s grown on me significantly

Here are my 5 Luffy: I saw him as a bit annoying and was basically your average dumb MC but boy oh boy was that proven wrong. Sanji: I’ve never like the perv trope in anime and Sanji was no exception. I feel like the gag was being shoved in our face every second but after a while he grew on me and became one of my favorite characters and maybe my favorite Straw Hat Kuma: This is more personal but the Nothing Happened scene really hit me hard and Zoro at that time was my favorite character ( besides Ace ofc ) and I thought he was gonna die. I won’t spoil the manga but I feel so bad for how I thought about Kuma Brook: Ik ik I hated a lot of straw hats but at first he looked like a copy and pasted Sanji. But Binks Sake just tore my soul apart man Smoker: Now I don’t really like Smoker that much he’s just there for me but I have grown to respect him. I didn’t like him cause he felt like a joke. He didn’t have really anything that made me care for him.

1. Sanji: he started off annoying, and even through his (1st) backstory, he was my least favorite. I'm not completely sure when that flipped, but if I had to list my top five favorite characters, he's on that list. 2. Franky: obviously 3. Donquixote Doflamingo: This one took a while. I actually had to rewatch before I started to like this dude. He's one of my favorite villains. 4. Kuma: This one's not quite so simple. I had no opinion when we were first introduced to him, and on Thriller Bark, best I could give him is neutral, and that only at the end of his scene when mentioned Dragon. It was after I realized what he had done at Sabaody that started changing my mind. And now… I'm caught up in the manga. 'Nuff said. 5. I can't think of a fifth. Most of the characters I really like, I like for who they are from the start. I loved Bon Clay from the start and found Crocodile and Robin to be interesting. There's nothing I can think of that will make me love Akainu, or Blackbeard, and Kizaru I could take or leave.
