Consequently, for the past seven years, I have enlisted the services of a fiduciary who actively manages my portfolio to adapt to the current market conditions. This strategy has allowed me to navigate the financial landscape successfully, making informed decisions on when to buy and sell. Perhaps you should consider a similar approach.

Love you Rose, but for $2,350 a week (which is $122,200 a year), you need (for example) $1 million getting 12.22% in passive income (dividends/distributions/interest payments/etc) a year. Basically, it's a three step process: 1) Create the base amount (and re-invest any passive income) 2) Once base amount met, use passive income for expenses 3) Later in life, rebalance portfolio into high yield / depreciating NAV ETFs (like YieldMax) to let the base amount slowly reduce while receiving massive passive income monthly. This is like a reverse mortgage, except you'll still have a base amount (even though not as much) to provide via will when you pass away.

A few years after that I will be eligible for Social Security. I have no debt, and I have investments that pay around $1,500 a month. Unfortunately, this type of retirement is next to impossible for today's generation because employers don't offer pension plans, housing prices and loan rates are sky high, and inflation is eating up a lot of people's savings.

Start small and build up a portfolio to the time your passive income overtakes your monthly living expenses and you reached the point the day job is no longer needed. Everyone has to start somewhere there is no magic to building a portfolio if you don't start then you will be working for someone your whole life.
@ocuevasАй бұрын
@@polster2 Sure by that time I'll be wrinkled and old and ready to retire anyway. Also when that cross over happens, you are not taking into account other expenses. You're older, more medical expenses. Or inflation. Rents or taxes have gone up too. People may also start families and have kids, which is a big expense.
@polster2Ай бұрын
@@ocuevas You have to start somewhere as i said. Instead of putting 100% of your work income in a bank account you can take a portion every month and put into dividend paying funds that yield 7-10%. Look into quality Closed End Funds (CEF's) which are for investors who are looking to generate high yield passive income. Eventually you will build up a portfolio to either supplement or replace your work income. But you need to start instead of complaining or thinking its not possible.. As you work you either move up the career ladder by getting promotions or increasing your salary by jumping employers/jobs while consistently putting aside 10% or so of your monthly income into a brokerage account buying assets that generate dividend income. While your working you can set your investments to automatically reinvest the dividend which buys more shares creating a compounding effect over the long term (100 shares becomes 150 shares in 5 years for example. with automatic reinvestment).

You need to DCA in VTI or the like and reinvest dividends. Keep doing this until retirement.

A achievable way for the average person would be to invest $500 a month for 25 years at 10% dividend yield would bring you portfolio to a $760k value. It would provide $6000 of passive income for the rest of your life. Don’t over complicate things just buy spyi or voo and qqqi or vti ❤hopes this helps a bunch of you and good luck. I’m trying to reach this goal by the age of 55yrs so wish me luck.

Building wealth involves developing good habits like regularly putting money away in intervals for solid investments. Instead of trying to predict and prognosticate the stability of the market and precisely when the change is going to happen, a better strategy is simply having a portfolio that’s well prepared for any eventually, that’s how some folks' been averaging 150K every 7week these past 4months according to Bloomberg.

The strategies are quite rigorous for the regular-Joe. As a matter of fact, they are mostly successfully carried out by pros who have had a great deal of skillset/knowledge to pull such trades off

Moodys ? Are they the guys who packaged the subprimes into products as AAA rated which helped trigger the 2007 crash ? Thus I take their opinion with a big, really big grain of salt
