@Eric Fisher I came across your video,for the 1st time.. I'm a self taught drummer,going on 40 years. And as someone already mentioned. It does look easy,but wow,was I WRONG! I love the lessons,and they are fun,and sound great! I'm having the hardest time ever,playing your very first lesson!! I'm having a hard time bringing the stick down from my tom's,back down to the snare at a faster pace!! I was thinking about adjusting my top 2 rack toms? But 1st im just going to keep on practicing it for a while,hoping that ill finally get it down.. Just had to tell you thanks!!! Love these patterns!!

Appreciate your feedback Butch, thank you for watching and glad you found the channel. Hold the stick relaxed and stay loose to get that sweeping motion down. ✌🏼👊🏼

👍 I love exercises like this! I warm up with stuff like this while playing quarters on the HH with my left foot. I start the patterns as eighth notes, then progress to eighth note triplets (the four note groupings become three over four), then as sixteenth notes, and so on until I top out my speed. Then I practice the inversions (or permutations) of each pattern. All the patterns I’ve been using are the most basic; yours will add some spice to my routine. Some days I’ll alter the HH rhythm- very fun and rewarding. Great content, man!

Thank you so much Eric for this awesome exercise! It took me awhile but now I'm actually practicing it. If you didn't explain it and demonstrate it the way you do I never would have gotten it. Thanks again. 🥁❤️

@butchgifford18092 жыл бұрын
@Owen Brown I feel the same exact way as you do!!! They Look Very Easy! (But as you said,and you are 💯% Correct!) They Are Definitely Not Easy!! 🤘🤟🤙I'll be doing ALOT OF PRACTICING!!
@tomdennis1474Ай бұрын
Patten number one - the first note is a unison note with Left on Tom 1 and Right on the snare, then the left is brought down to the snare. Why not just do a double with the right since it is already at the snare. Same with the second group of 4, why bring the right down to the snare when then left could do a double much easier? Not being critical at all, just wondering if there is a reason I cannot see.

Love your content Eric. Extremely practical. One of your paradiddle vids, spent 2/3 months on. Now, locked in and without thought. Changed my brain from, shit, I'm never going to be any good. To...holy smokes, I'm getting smoother. 🍻✌️

Hi Eric, I just discovered your KZbin channel! I love your videos, this one especially cool as this is an area I am struggling in. I've been playing drums in bands for a long time, but never really studied, so my 'toolbox" of chops and techniques is woefully lacking. Keep the videos coming! Also, as I was watching your videos I noticed some of your tee shirts, and it inspired me to ask, are you a Christian? Some of your shirts seem to have some religious or spiritual imagery. Anyway, love your channel and look forward to learning more from you and improving my own drumming!
@Fisherdrumming2 жыл бұрын
Hey Jeff, thank you for dropping a comment and glad you are enjoying the lessons!! Yes, I’m a Christian! Jesus Christ is King, and my savior. I’ve been a Christian for about 10 years. The T-shirts you saw are made by a brand called Righteous Wretch. Glad you found the channel, stay tuned, lessons are posted every 1-2 weeks now. Thank you!

I’ve have to admit Eric what you say sounds too good to be true. Been a member of Drumeo Edge for about a year now and Even though I practice 2 to 3 hours per day, let’s just say I’m not happy with my progress. But I not sure I can blame that on anyone but me. Yet This lesson has me very interested in your program. What does one get if they pay for your lessons per month?
@Fisherdrumming2 жыл бұрын
Hi Steve! Drumeo is great, but I’m very curious to see how you do with my program. You can get access to the Total Drumming Program which is a 6 course bundle. It’s either $399 for full lifetime access including new courses and lessons, or a low cost of $19 for a monthly pass with a 7 day free trial. Here’s the link to learn more: fisherdrumming.com/p/total-drumming-program Once you enroll, we can keep track of your progress. Feel free to email me anytime! I like to stay connected with the drummers in my program.
