I had a lot of cars and trucks. And by experience. Nothing beats Toyota. And tacoma. Nothing can take a beat all day long all year around for years and years like the taco.

I've loved having my Tacoma so far.

I bought my Tacoma for long tern. I had my previous vehicle over 11 years and saving up for the down payment for a while since I did have a car payment. I didn't want a big full size truck. Didn't need it. I daily drive it to work too. I taken my sr5 4x4 camping and on a few trails it's surprisingly capable too. I'm sure I'll have it at least 10 years.
@DJXPLRS2 жыл бұрын
That's great. The Tacoma can easily be a truck you keep for 10+ years.

@@DJXPLRS as long as no one smashes in to it and totals it. Then if that happens the higher value retention will help with replacing it.

Have a 2023 TRD Sport double cab with six foot bed coming. Shipping delay someplace. ETA to dealer is anytime between today and 6 Dec. truck “ordered” 2 Oct. So there will almost certainly be a wait for a new truck. We moved to Vermont to family farm. Need 4WD. Towing. Hauling. And we’ve had Toyotas in past and know their reliability.
@DJXPLRS Жыл бұрын
It sounds like your like wait is almost over. That's exciting. Congrats on the new Taco!

I have an older Access Cab Tacoma with well over 100K miles. I'd like to get a new one like it, but unfortunately Toyota hasn't been allocating any Access Cabs to my region for quite some time, with the exception of a few with the Utility Package, but those are all committed to fleet backorders, I am told.
@DJXPLRS2 жыл бұрын
I've heard the access cabs are pretty tough to get right now.

How is the seating comfort? I am going to be in the market for a Tacoma within six months to nine months. Not sure what the next generation is gonna be like but hopefully it doesn’t have problems like the new tundra. Just subscribed to your channel, you mentioned five excellent points.👍🏼💪🏼 ps I am most likely will get a 2022 though
@DJXPLRS2 жыл бұрын
I've loved my '21 Tacoma. The'21 and'22 are almost identical. That's a great choice. As for the seat comfort, I use my Taco as a daily driving find the seat to be great especially with the adjustable power seat.

I’ve had Toyota Pickups since 1986. In 86 I bought a new “One ton”. That truck was rugged as hell. I used it and abused it (but maintained it well) a Moron missed a turn and wrecked it parked in front of our house. Bought a 1995 Tacoma with the 2.7ltr. Great truck Drove it to Giant Forest and back for 22 years. I put a quarter Million miles on that 4WD rig largely in 2nd and 3rd gears. It’s 15 miles from our house to Giant Forest, and one mile of that is Vertical. That rig never used a drop of oil. I never had to change a Headlamp or taillight. I put a clutch in at 180,000 miles and a starter at 250,000. It’s still being driven by my Friend at the Coast. He’s a Winemaker. I now have a 2017 Off-road. All the bells & whistles. V-6 this time. STILL gets 22+ MPG I do little in town driving. Great Trucks. This is the one they “bury me in”. Living in the Wilderness and visiting Sequoia and Kings Canyon it’s the PERFECT rig. Cheers.

I've had several Nissan cars but never been a fan of the Frontier. But the new Frontier is a like-a-like Tacoma and seems like a great truck.

Even with a stock Tacoma I would swap out the tires for more off road capabilities. The tires that come with the tacoma are not ideal for the trails.

Bought a 22 Tacoma sr access cab 4cy. 4x4 perfect truck, had it for almost 3 months now, I love it, perfect vehicle for my simple needs! Slapped some ko2's on. It will be great in the harsh northeast winters. Simple truck for simple people! Enjoy your new truck, it's slow, but reliability is the trade off.

The first time I flipped a u-turn, I was surprised how tight it was. My Tacoma is a 4x2 and the wife and I went to the mountains taking a seldom used fire road and the Tacoma was more than capable of handling it
