Hi, Marleen! I just found your channel last week, and was so happy to discover it! I am definitely an Apple shape, very short (thanks to degenerative scoliosis!). I used to be almost 5’ 2”, but now 4’ 11” in my stocking feet. Add narrow shoulders and a big bust and I look like a little round ball! Really appreciate all your advice! Thank you from a Scottish/Irish “cousin” in the Dallas, Texas, USA, area!!! 😍

I have found square necklines are the most flattering, the addition of some sharp lines up top tends to balance out my roundness below. You look great in everything!

Hi Marlene, wow, everything was gorgeous you, especially when you added jackets, shoes etc. I’m a tall apple but I’m very short waisted so just can’t wear a dress that’s waisted as they sit weird 😮, and then the empire bust line dresses sit strange too😮. It’s really difficult, especially as I love fashion and clothes😮. I wish I was average height with an hourglass figure…..even just for a day, to see how it feels lol 😅. I have a small checked blazer with chocolate brown,cream,and black,chocolate dress with capped sleeves,chocolate pleated skirt,and chocolate dress pants,navy blue,and black pants and a black suit blazer and match pants. So i bought a see through blouse with multicolored print that will go with the chocolate pieces too.

I’d say try and go for natural fabrics if possible. As for shapewear that is up to you. I wear it in all weather but it’s not for everyone. I’d also choose an outfit that is loose and flowy . I hope that helps xx

I feel very confused what my body shape is. I have wide shoulders, larger busy and a B belly. My hips don't start until around my belly button area. Is it possible to be a fruit salad? 😂😂😂😂😂

lol I like that and yes you totally can be hun. No 2 bodies are the same and the “apple & pear” should only be used as a guide. You might need to take elements from different shapes to find your perfect fit.. (I’m a rectangular apple) I love it.. fruit salad 😂❤️

Marleentje, you hit the nail on the head (again!!)!! I do love empire waist dresses but yeah, they make you look pregnant ;-( I have a neck, that is what is different between us, and that, that you are more then awesome!!! OOO yeah, and that I prefer long dresses and skirts!!!!! Although, I don't mind a sexy split ROFL!! I have a very sexy long dress with a long, wide slit and I wear matching shorts or leggings (or even a long matching pencil skirt) underneath! Hot as hell. ROFL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! About that 'hot' long dress (hot tamalé-alert!!): Honey, I had a dress with sleeves like that and I took out the elastic!! That was so much more pleasant and beautiful too (they fluttered when there was a breeze HAHA). And I also removed some elastic from the waist (back) so that the dress no longer rode up, as you said, and I no longer had to pull it down over my stomach every time. Hun, what you always add to every piece of clothing you show is the prettiest smile there is, you make the sun shine inside the house!!!
