The amount of people that have tried to argue with me when I say petite means short. I have a coworker that’s almost six feet and refers to herself as petite because she’s slim. I even point out that there are petite plus size clothing and they still get worked up. I wonder how people started to confuse the word petite with skinny?

@sudanbabe people are confused because petite means “small in size” OR “attractively small and dainty” so people naturally assume it’s referring to weight and not height.
