The best mount is a rotatable mount so you can adjust the angle of the GoPro on the fly, amzn.to/37YJklN and you should try using the GoPro internal microphone at first since it is not bad. Using a microphone will add bulk.

Do you ever find the iPad Pro to be a distraction while driving?

Yes, fun and games aside. We do not operate the iPad Pro while driving, even when the Tesla is on Autopilot. But we think it’s all about control... the Tesla Model 3 has a 15 inch screen and we hardly get distracted. The main thing we look at is the speedometer and most of the time, thanks to Autopilot, we know we are going at the legal speed limit and never have to worry about looking over at the 15 in. touchscreen.

Side note: You can do almost everything with voice command using Siri or Tesla own voice commands without the need to operate the iPad Pro or the Tesla touch screen.

If you are referring the ability to using Maps, then all you need is a tablet with GPS and a data connection. You do need some type of data connection. We hotspot from our phone to allow all the tablets to have Internet connection.
