Seven son is my favorite tree for years…a storm knocked out our precious one so last spring planted a temple of bloom. Truly the best red flowering, and love the bark

We seem to have similar likes. I’ve tried without luck for 2 seasons to get a Kinsley’s Ghost. I even had a cutting from a friend but probably should have done soft wood propagation. I’ll definitely try your resource so thank you for that. I also wanted a Heptacodium so much that I ordered one on line. It was small when I planted it in the front yard in the fall and well into the summer didn’t show any signs of life. It was in the way of the teenage lawnmowing helper so I found another one, planted it and, with stern resolve, pulled the original plant from the ground. Well, what to my wondering eyes should appear but a small, very healthy stem was sneaking up underground. Apologizing to the plant all the way from front to backyard, I grabbed a pot, potted it with fresh soil and an additive, and babied it for about a month. It thrived! (Must have been the apology!). It’s growing well in the backyard so I’ll be able to enjoy its beauty in years to come.

Nice list with interesting plants that I have never seen before. My only hesitation would be with the honeysuckle. I had one in a previous home and the plant was attacked by aphids every year, both the new leaves and the flowers. But for the week or two before all heck broke loose, it was quite lovely climbing up a support to the second story deck.

I was really interested in getting a Seven Son for my central Ohio yard when I found out they are extremely invasive in my area. Additionally these are a host plant for the Spotted Lanternfly which is an invasive species which is sweeping across the US and decimating crops along with Japanese Maple trees. Something to consider if you're seeing this comment.

Since the England trip last summer, I can’t stop thinking about Red Mohican as well! Do you know a good place to order it from? I almost ordered drumstick allium last fall thinking it looked similar enough but decided to hold out for the real deal! 😆

All the plants are in the description. Just click on show more. However, the Red Mohican is out of stock.

Yes, Red Mohican is out of stock right now because it's not the right time to purchase. They will be available later in the year, closer to correct planting time. Thanks for watching and commenting.

Is this Ray from our England trip? Good to hear from you. Yes, links are in the description. You will need to order later in the season for planting in the fall. Hope to see you on another of our tours.

The heptacodium is the only one on this list that has fragrant flowers. Here is an article with other featuring fragrant blooms - www.gardengatemagazine.com/articles/flowers-plants/designing-with/10-fragrant-flowers-for-your-garden/
