I would really love to hear in more detail how you actually use the products, which products you use together and in which order. Do you use say vitamin C only in the morning to avoid using it with acids or retinoil? Skincare feels like a mine field sometimes when there are so many wonderful products but many that shouldn't be used simultaneously. It's really helpful when someone goes through their actual skincare routine, especially when they are using this many products! xx

Your questions are really common! I think you might really like Caroline Hirons channel. She did a deep dive into retinol last year and talks a lot about how to build an effective skincare routine. I’ve listened to so much in the past two years to educate myself and I will admit that some of it is just trial and error. Also, start reading the ingredient deck - that will help you identify when a specific ingredient doesn’t work for you.

I’ve been so into skincare since reading Caroline Hirons book. Could you do a full routine both day and night? And maybe provide some education along the way as to why you use each product, similar to this video. I loved your old skincare videos also, but I feel like you know much more about skin care and would love to hear you speak about it in a more technical sense. :-)

I loved this, could you do like a weekly guide or maybe fortnightly to include the retinol, in terms of when on a good day you would use which products, AM and/or PM. I’ve seen a couple of these videos and I’m influenced to buy but then want to use them properly in a good routine

In the BR spa they use gauze to apply the toner! I split open my cotton pads and use half the thickness so I feel it’s not as wasted. It also completely changed my skin - did the same as you and bought it in lockdown from Embassy of Beauty and I am now utterly obsessed.

A skincare staple that has changed my skin recently is the Fresh Rose Deep Hydration Oil-Infused serum. I use it with a few other Fresh products (cleanser, moisturizer, and masks) and my skin looks way more radiant and smooth. I find the less harsh ingredients I put on my skin (chemical exfoliators make me break out and get really red) the better off I am.

I’m on a skincare purchase fast. Trying to use up everything I’ve got at home and see if my skin still holds up if I gradually stop some of the items I think are helping so much. If there is no change in My skin then maybe all these extra lotions and potions aren’t even necessary.

Abu Dhakal I’ve looked at all kinds of retinol products and I agree that a sophisticated formula can go easier on the skin. There’s loads of misconceptions about types and efficacy but if you’re interested in learning more, Caroline Hurons did a fabulous overview in several videos last year. Her main takeaway is that most over the counter products are not clear about how much retinol is in their product. My favorites are the SkinCeuticals and NeoStrata. I’ve also tried A313 but it stopped working for me after a few weeks.

REALLY enjoyed watching this Fleur, seeing your personality and enthusiasm made my day 😊💕 long time follower, feel like we are growing together (sorry you probs think that's so weird 😬🙈😂)... anyway thanks for braving the heat for this one haha. Also, I have a video idea! "Skincare for mask wearing". I'm having major probs where I break out due to masks usage (i'm being so careful washing all my masks after each individual use and bought good quality fabric too). I feel like you might have some ideas for products that could help or support mask wearers? Thanks again, you've honestly added a lot of value to my life and I'm really grateful x

P50 is an absolute hero product. I’ve been using it for a couple years now and I went through a few phases of not purchasing it because of the price but once you start using it’s hard to stop, the impact it has on the texture and appearance of my skin is unmatched.

Noeleen Spiteri I went straight into P50 - I don’t have very sensitive skin though! You could try the P50 and just slightly wet your cotton pad before applying the product, that can decrease the potency a little if you find it to be too full on. one of the best things you can use for your skin to prevent/reverse wrinkles is tretinoin (or adapalene). You should talk to your doctor about adding it to your routine. It's the most data-backed product we have for anti-aging!

Marija Bartulović I don’t think you need to put retinol products around your eyes (or in the corners of your nose and mouth). Products like this migrate so as long as you do the outer parts, your face will still benefit without being exposed to the awful peelies.

Jenny Jen oh yes, I forgot about her. After seeing your comment I went to check few of her videos and she says not to put it on neck area, but what if someone has those underneath the skin pimples on their neck? For example, I get them from time to time, even around my ears! Shouldn’t you use adapalene there as well to get rid of them?

If the oil you use will be only for hydration, it should be in the end of your routine, as it will act as an occlusive for the products you used before. If you use a treatment oil (with actives) like vit c or retinol, and you want it to be as close to your skin as possible, use it after cleansing (and toner if you use one )
@suzinaccache

@@katerinatzima2604 thank you, so I have a ceo glow oil (vit c) and luna oil by Sunday Riley my retinol , would these go on first then and moisturiser after ? Xx
@katerinatzima2604
@katerinatzima2604 4 жыл бұрын
@@suzinaccache so in this case, I would use the vit c in the morning on a clean skin. After I would Moisturize and use sunscreen (always sunscreen after, whether you go out or not because vit c will oxydize and there is no point in using it if it is oxydized).At night I would cleanse my face well with an oil and foam or cream cleanser, then use toner(if you use) and then the Luna retinol and then moisturizer. If you have never used these products, you can try using them for the first couple of times after your moisturizer in order to buffer them out and avoid irritation. If you see that everything is good, I would then go to using them on a clean skin like I told you in the beginning. Don't forget sunscreen everyday, it's the most important thing 🙂 Hope this helps 😉

I agree. Some bloggers do it (botox, different types of fillers all over the face) so well that it looks really natural and like they aren't ageing at all, which in turn can make people feel insecure about how their face in changing so much when the bloggers aren't. It would build better relationships with their audience, who are growing older with them, when they're fully transparent about injectables. Also, they're also getting all sorts of expensive facials, some/many (in some influencers cases) are gifted, which the regular "consumer" might not have access to.
