From a beginner these projects are more than sufficient actually. But the job market is so much more confident and more over the jobs are very less so that the problem arises. Otherwise these projects are actually great according to the beginner level. And if you try to be aware of ourselves then please give the whole video tutorial, not just telling you can implement this feature that features etc. Everyone knows what features can unique the project but cannot implement it.

I am making a ecom for a business it involves tasks like creating otp system applying business logics and making apis secure and then pagination. Adding payment features and then storing payment data securely. Adding basic login signup and many other features for searching and other. If this is basic then i dont think i belong to this field. Should i quit now ?

Ya bro TBH, this is basic, adding authentication system like signup, sign in, sending otp, email verification, forget password, reset password, Oauth, is basic. If you want to make it complex then try to Segerate ecom in multiple services like seperate authentication service, notification service with message queue, and order and product service.

Bro pata nahi kon hai vo log jo tumse yeh bol rahe hai ki nodejs backend me jobs muskil hai, Bro keep that in mind agar tumne sirf basic backend kiya hai like just CRUD api wala, then thumhare like job bilkul nahi hogi. Try to make complex projects jiska tutorial KZbin par nahi hai, like Notification system, image and video processing application, real-time large file sharing app and add devops and system design skills in your stack, because yeh bhi backend ka part hai

bro thats ur decision 1 saal baad agr mains clear nhi hua to bhi teri life me koi farak nhi padega bs apna 100% percent diyo chaiye jee ke liye prep kro ya tier 3 se grind . i also have this two option last year i joined a tier 3 clg i after going 1st year i fully explore the cs field and decided what to learn technologies learn c,c++ and now i m practicing dsa and web dev so give ur 100% best of luck buddy

I would suggest you: to go for a drop if you have the potential to, and secure circuital branch in any IITs/ NITs/ BITs/ IIITs. Don't go for any other branch as it matters a lot, because you'll have to struggle probably more than Tier 3 college if you don't get circuital branch. But if you get any circuital branch in any IITs/ NITs/ BITs/ IIITs than your life will be very chill with many good opportunities being spoon fed to you from college itself
