Reading under pressure really sucks out the joy. Thanks for pointing out. Also, Will love to see some discussions on epic fantasy genre like books of Brandon Sanderson, Rothfuss and Robert Jordon.

I'm in a reading slump since January, the reason being I was reading return of the king. I think my mistake was not reading any fantasy books and directly reading LOTR. "Sometimes you are not ready for the book" Thanks for saying this I think that's what going on between me and lotr. I'll now put that book back in my shelve and start tye 3rd book in the millennium series.

I always feel this inevitable burden of imagining things in the literal way as how it's written in the book nd that's consuming more time in my reading. I often find difficult to imagine characters in my head because once you picturized a not-so-specifically portrayed character in your mind since the beginning of his/her introduction and suddenly the character gets a description at some point that might be completely opposite to your imagination. Those kind of problems are my obstacles in a smooth and peaceful reading.

I feel the same too! I'm reading A Song Of Ice and Fire series by George RR Martin (that inspired Game of Thrones) and it's fascinating. Haven't watched the show but imagining the situations based on Martin's description is wonderful!!

Hi Vaani, I am big fan of your work. I see lot of clarity in your thoughts when you speak. God bless you. Coming to reading mistakes, after reading good amount books in my teen-age, I realized that taking notes is really very crucial, especially when you're reading non-fiction book. And referring to the notes at regular interval also helps to make sure you carry the learnings from the book and can apply them in your life.
