Perhaps when you read The Girl with the Louding Voice you can then pick up the sequel. It picks up right after the events of book 1. I have soft dnfed it because I was in the wrong mood but hoping to try again. Unicorn intrigues me! Perhaps you will start the Jade City trilogy? Ooh, I also want to read backlist Jemisin books!

You have many interesting books on your list! Akwaeke Emezi is an incredible storyteller and makes a lot of social commentary in 'Pet'. There are a lot of content warnings for this book and it is very dark, so I would recommend checking Storygraph before you consider reading it. 'Wildspark' made me cry, so you might need some tissues while reading it. Hope you enjoy the next book you read 📖😊
