Good video. Thank you for sharing your honest perspective. Actually there are just too many of those youtube videos where some people kept pushing the idea of buying property to make money. Yes, you can invest in property to make money but if you are buying a property for your occupation needs, then best to consider living needs like the size required, proximity to mrt, whether your family members will be staying in there happily and so on. For owner occupied property, even if the property price appreciates, you will still need to have a shelter over your head. Even if you sell to realise the capital gain, you will need to find a replacement property which will be expensive as well.

I think hdb is a better choice in terms of price and convenience and also for own stay. Those who choose condo may or may not preserve their capital or gain capital appreciation. Taking into account of the current world economy and the change in demographic, there will fewer young people buying properties.

I think I can add one more point - if you want your bathroom and kitchen to have windows or natural ventilation - go for HDB flats.

Not 100% true. For kitchen most of them have window. For toilet have window doesnt mean its a good thing. Some have window but bad windflow in the end still have a add mechanical fan
