I have three pairs of pull-on "jeans" from JJill and a pair of leggings in the same blue (I just donated one pair to Goodwill or else it would have been two), plus I have two pairs of capris in the same pull-on blue. I like them. They are super comfortable. But I'm bored stiff with them. I like your idea of changing out different shoes and wearing different things with them to make it feel like I'm not just dressing in the same-old, same-old each day! Thanks, Sheila!

WRT items that are difficult to match: when shopping, it helps to ask yourself whether you already own things you can wear with the new item. If you would need to basically purchase an entire new ensemble to go with that one garment, it’s probably not worth buying.

Oh my gosh, I just had to chuckle at your opening questions, because those same questions often pop into my mind when looking in my closet. Would maxi dresses be considered a fad? I do love them and have been so wishing I could find a white maxi dress this summer but have had no luck. Yours is absolutely lovely. One thing I do have to work on is stretching my confidence muscle--especially when it comes to wearing brighter colors--so thanks for the encouragement!

Great, I'm happy I'm helping you stretch your confidence muscle. Maxi dresses aren't a fad but some types of maxi dresses are. Maxi dresses come and go in popularity.

I love the dress you’re wearing. I don’t have the arms to wear a sleeveless dress. I have a closet full of t shirts and I have a drawer full of shorts. That’s my outfit everyday. It’s not to hard for me to find something to wear. I haven’t been wearing my tie dye shirts out in public. I will wear them around the house. And if I was desperate I would wear any of them in public. People can just think I’m an old hippie. I just found out we’re taking some of the grandkids shopping for school clothes tomorrow. My husband is asleep, he doesn’t know yet. My daughter works third shift. Actually she works a twelve hour shift that starts at 7:00 pm to 7:00 am. Which would kill me. But she’s used to it. And has six kids at home. Three are out of state until this weekend at their sisters house. But we’ll have to take those three shopping before school starts here. We’ll get off easy with the two younger ones going to kindergarten and preschool. And of course, the baby will get something. So I’ll have to dress a little nicer than I usually do. And I think I’ll wear my new black shirt and either my blue or maybe black denim shorts. We’re going to an outlet mall close to our house. And it’s never crowded. So you can park in front of the store, shop and leave. It should be interesting. This is my brutally honest five year old granddaughter. I’ll let her pick out what she likes and then I’ll give my opinion. But at five she knows what she likes. Her mom told me that. Too bad we’re all not like her all our lives.

At five children know what they want and have the confidence to speak up. As time goes on most (not all) the desire to be liked comes before their true desires, so they are less likely to follow their hearts. Have fun shopping!

Believe it or not the walls are white. The ceiling is pink which makes the wall look pinkish.

@@StylebySheila they are different colors that suit me. I have made the mistake of buying warm colors in the past. That's on my list of no more. I have a lot of other styles too but buy multiples of tshirts and tank tops.
