Ok superfakes is not $200 - $600. The range is $1200 - $2500. None of the videos her from China factory is the supplier. I have authentics and bought 1 superfake. Waited 2 weeks for master craftsman to complete it. It went through quality control . No difference than original. Even the fakebirkin slayer will not see the difference. I hate the waiting game. And I was curious. The supplier is not in KZbin. That craftsman is not a child or normal person. But as far as I know, all their products have been put on the shelves up to this *condup*

Honestly I think with this American economy (and global economy) the new luxury is being able to afford their current home, food on their table, and entertainment. Unboxings used to be a big thing and now people just don’t have the palette for it. People are also getting more and more educated on influencers that get the bags for free to push new designs. To be honest…many industries have experienced layoffs and economic decline. People are spending less and honestly I don’t blame them. You don’t want to be the person who flexes their luxury goods (that most people purchase with credit cards) while others are barely getting by. People are reading the room. Once the economy recovers …the demand for luxury goods will return.

I bought a vintage Louis Vuitton Saint Cloud GM in mono for just under $400. To replace the strap with LV it would only cost me just under 400 too. So for $800 I get a nicely-designed bag that’ll last me many years.

They want a lot of money for poor quality items. I bought my items in the 90s and the quality of those items is far superior to what is offered now. Also, the prices were proportionally more reasonable for the quality of the goods. Chanel is stupid. I didn't buy it in the 80s when it was only minorly stupid but now its extortion. A very good summary on the topic! I could still justify buying an expensive bag if I would truly love it, but for the reasons you mentioned here I just don't feel attracted to the "it" bags anymore at the price points which they are sold at, especially given the low quality. One thing to mention is also security: despite living in a very safe country, I just do not like carrying high value items and having to hold on to them continuously just in case any thieves would be around. A lot of expensive designer bags also have practically no closure mechanism, making it even more attractive for pickpockets.

It clearly says in the tittle the video will be about designer bags. I find these types of videos very helpful even though I can't afford any of these bags yet, but I know one day I will. And I want to know which designer bag will be really worth my hard earn money and I will get the most use of. You have some excellent points, especially the quality issues. That Chanel mini was insane. There’s a difference between dupes and fakes. For example, there are many BV dupes sold on Amazon and by other reputable brands that use the BV weaving for inspiration. Fakes are never okay. It funds terrorism and human trafficking.

I am still shopping, still love my luxury items but definitely o am more careful of what I get, trying to make less mistakes so it doesn’t cost me unnecessary extra money 😂. As per handbags, Chanel is still my number one, then the others 😅. As per classic flaps unless I make some sacrifice selling one😂, to get another “special” one, then I am happy with the ones I own. Minis I am also happy with the ones I have, and my C19 is the lifesaver one 😂. Unfortunately, for me with Chanel I always find something cute or something I’d like to add to my wardrobe and collection 😅❤. Last but not least, to each their own but for me, NO REPLICAS and NO DUPES, personally if I don’t have the HIGH funds, there are plenty of contemporary brands options that I would love 😉

Noooo love no! Chanel NEVER USED REAL SOLID GOLD on their hardware, that’s wrong info! They gold PLATED their hardware and recently was said in the media, that it was never a 24K plated gold either that was someone who said that and ppl ran with it 🤦🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️. I do believe, it was more goldish and deeper gold plate on the hardware to continue the classic bright gold design from the 80’s and the 90’s era. Now ppl likes different hardware and styles 😉. Also, I am a client from Chanel from a long long time, I have only sent two bags for service for two different reasons, and I have never had any problems with the hardware on any of my bags for over 16 years. Could it happen? Maybe but I personally never had issues, so it depends 😊

The Hardware was dipped in 24kt plating. So that’s just the top layer of the hardware. Those double CC’s were stamped on the CC as well.

They did not market to middle or lower class folks years ago and honestly still don’t. The internet “influencers” and replicas have somewhat ruined luxury. They’re trying to take back control.
