@@sirezthecoolartist7163 I knew you'd say "graphics aren't everything". I genuinely didn't type anything else just to see you say that. Yeah, of course I agree that graphics aren't everything. But it's an elder scrolls game, something which Bethesda would never fuck up. Fallout 76 was completely new for them, hence the in game problems(although I do blame them for the canvas bag). Bethesda has always been dedicated towards any elder scrolls title, so there's no doubt that the game will be awesome.

Is oblivion even older than morrowind/harder to set up today?
@sommerblume96715 жыл бұрын
Firehawk Gaming I get them mixed up from time to time as i've never played them and haven't looked into the lore enough. The titles don't help me either, as I also often forget that Skyrim is "V" while Oblivion is "IV" and Morrowind "III" - which can sometimes mess me up. It is quite rude as it's just an unnecessary condescending tone - simply tell me i got it wrong and move on. Anyways i'm going to look into guides first, since i'd like to have the games be set up nicely with whatever mods to enhance gameplay/appearance.

It's been some days since I saw this video (I nowadays often watch KZbin-videos offline), but ever since then and thanks to this video of yours I've been playing Oblivion and I now wish to thank both you and this video for the inspiration! In this video all of these 5 reasons are damn good SOLID reasons and it was surely enough for me to give Oblivion a new chance (there's been some times now that I've started to play Oblivion and created a new character everytime but got bored less than halfway into the game), I did once finish the main story of Oblivion but I wish to experience this game mostly at its full contents and all it has to offer. Other, I am more of a Skyrim lover, but I always want to give this game a chance for I believe there's still alot more to its story and lore wich I haven't yet discovered, and new wonders to see. And for this, your question to us viewers at the end of your video, I cannot yet answer answer because I have experienced and seen too little of Oblivion. But once again, I thank you for this video and relighting anew my interest in Oblivion in full, can't wait to experience the reasons you listed here in my own playthrough. I also can't wait til once I try the Shivering Isles dlc too!

Most people complain about the enemy scaling when it comes to oblivion. As soon as you understand the levelling system, you can create a pretty badass character. Enemy health is not an issue if you understand poison making (imp gall+spittle stick ftw). Blocking is a serious deal for damage mitigation. And spellmaking can be one of the most OP parts of the game. It's pretty easy when you take the time to learn it. I would compare it to Path of Exile. Super difficult, but understanding the mechanics goes a long way.

I got Oblivion on release. I watched the pre-release teasers about radiant AI and the physics system. I played it throughout highschool daily, I was bedridden sick for a week and played it from waking to sleep during that period. After high school I played and modded it daily. During art college it was my focus of every project. I have every single version of it ever made, including collector's edition and the septim that came with it, which I carry in my wallet. I'm now 27, I got Oblivion at 15. I would not doubt that my total playtime for Oblivion is not just weeks, but months. I could hum every track from it. I've probably done every quest, found every easter egg, and played hours upon hours of it while watching fudgemuppet on the other monitor or tablet when on console. Play Oblivion if you haven't, from a person whose life would be drastically different without it, take my word for it.

I watched this video because FudgeMuppet, though I didn't need to, as I still do play it. Even after 13 years, it's still one of my favourite games of all time. I was persuaded to give it a try by two separate friends all those years ago, and I'm so glad I gave in to peer pressure. Even if it didn't have a special place in my heart, it's still miles ahead of most AAA games today in terms of... well, basically everything bar the purely technical. I've come back to it again and again over the years, and only last year I started 2 new playthroughs, and a third one only in February. I'm even thinking about starting up a 4th playthrough despite not having finished my first 3 yet. That said, I have to agree on every point in this video, but I'll add one more: Sidequests. The sidequests in Oblivion are some of the most interesting, engaging, well-written, and simply fun quests you'll experience in gaming. Entering a painting to take out some painted trolls, grab the magic paintbrush that made them and get back out again; using a magical spell to turn everyone at a noble dinner party NAKED; joining a guild of vampire hunters and rooting-out the vamp amidst their ranks; or how about fulfilling a village's doomsday prophecy and making the sky *RAIN FLAMING DOGS?!* I think that speaks for itself...
