I think everyone with a new idea, desire to build wealth and opportunity and a hunger to learn new things should learn how to code. Right now!
In this video I share just a few of the reasons that I think you should start learning how to code this year.
Beginning the journey to learn code was the BEST decision I made in my life and I am already seeing the benefits of making the switch in to the tech industry.

Hi Nicole, thnx for such an amazing video, im from Puerto Rico and have tried to learn code in so many occassions. I tried team treehouse freecodecamp starting with front end web development and usually end up giving up once I get to the more complex side using javascript and stuff. Any advice or tips I really like the freedom coding gives apart from the fact as u said that tech is only going to keep growing I'm just really tired of trying and giving up, its really hard to work a regular job and study when ur an adult. Any advice is well appreciated, thnx again for the video.

Hey Alberto! So sorry i missed your comment, I didn't realize I wasn't getting all of my notifications (still figuring out this youtube thing). The biggest tip I have is to build a system that helps you create a strong habit and lean into the feeling of discomfort when you are learning more complex things. Its those moments that you grow the most as a developer when you overcome something that scared you or intimidated you! Good luck!!

@@nicoleyoungtech thnx for the reply and no worries I love your videos and appreciate ur honesty, I live in Puerto Rico and here coding is not really a big deal and watching ur videos and seeing the pros and cons, I just feel like coding would give me a certain liberty to keep up with all my other passions and hobbies. Well I won't take more of ur time but I do appreciate you replying to my comment. I wish a wonderful weekend and lots of health and joy, Take care.

Hi Nicole thanks for making this video. I'm a older woman that has self-taught, myself how to code. I learned HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I want to be a Front End Developer. I'm still learning flex box, web-pack, and Node. I starting learning these coding languages about 2 years ago. And I have been accepted into a paid internship, I will be starting the internship in March of 2021.

I have no idea what this coding stuff is, but I do know that the entire economy one way or the other will be impacted by technology. So, I decided to switch from logistics to IT. Doing the Google IT support program right now just to get my hands dirty, I'm loving every bit of it. Didn't know I will love it this much, especially, being around a computer for over 20yrs. Maybe because I have a thing for research. I think I should stop been scary and give coding a shot too, who knows. Anyways, thanks for giving some of us newbies a level of hope.

If you’re still having a hard time I would just suggest something that’s very popular right now just to get started. Just go for it! You’ll be able to find a lot of help if it’s popular which can be helpful

I am at a point where I don't know what to do with my life. College doesn't sound very promising. I have great social skills and would best suit a career where socializing is involved, but I want to prioritize financial stability. I don't know if a career in tech is the right path for me and my personality, but I've never tried to delve into more scientific and technical career paths. Have you encountered people like me in that field?
@nicoleyoungtech
@nicoleyoungtech 3 жыл бұрын
If you want to be able to socialize and are interested in tech, try tech sales! This is a super important job for most tech companies to get their product or software to new customers - that takes a lot of socializing because you will interact with people within and outside of the company to learn about the product and sell it. Plus they make great money and often have opportunity for commission as well. Look into it and keep your head up!

If you weren't so wrapped up in your own race and your own identity, maybe you would attract more subscribers. People like people that aren't so wrapped up about their own identity, because people don't naturally like narcissistic people.

Thank you for the suggestion Giulio but I personally disagree. I am now here to gain a mass of followers but rather to help people who are dealing with the same struggles and challenges that I have had. So far most of my subs have found it to be helpful and relatable

Being true to yourself is often more important than random internet numbers. And people don't like people who clearly have something against minorities being proud of themselves

@@user-ck8kp8vb4l Wow, how did you cone up with that conspiracy theory about me? Talk about jumping to conclusions!🤣 I guess you think you can win any argument being just accusing the other person of, "being a RACIST!". By the way, race matters only to racists. The rest of us judge people by their character only.

@@giuliom8520 Its not necessarily that you're strictly racist. It's more that, well, This person being proud and open about who they are clearly bothers you.

@@user-ck8kp8vb4l What do you mean I'm not "srrictly" a racist? Do you have a conspiracy theory that maybe I'm a little it racist? If so, how did you jump to that conclusion? This person is narcissistic. She is WAY too wrapped up in her own identity.
