Nice playing. Great to hear a Strandberg being played like this, really shows how versatile they are.

Nice video and playing! I'm seriously considering Stamdberg, but I'm a bit concerned about the string tension. How does it compare to a Strat?
@AaronWesley3 жыл бұрын
Lower strings are 25.5” scale length like a strat but higher strings are around 25” so they feel “slinkier.” I found myself enjoying 11s more than 10s or 9s like I have on my strat and tele.

what brand of guitar stand that you are using for this Strandberg guitar? hope to hear from you soon thanks.
@AaronWesley3 жыл бұрын
Strandberg makes their own stand which obviously the best option. You can get away with something that has a swivel bottom that can adjust to the odd shape of the body. The honestly don’t even know the brand of stand I used for this video.

Great video! I have a salen at home, and you’re spot on about the tone of a Strandberg! It’s one of the finest instruments I own. However, do you have trouble with the neck heel as I do? I was surprised that the neck heel stick out at around the 15th fret, instead of a higher fret number... other than the neck heel, I was pretty sold on this new form factor :)
@AaronWesley4 жыл бұрын
I haven’t noticed it to be honest. It’s probably a result of the scaling. I do find the fanned frets easier to access the higher register which is probably a reason why I haven’t noticed the heel position.
@jeff90094 жыл бұрын

@@AaronWesley does the trem bend both ways like a Floyd Rose, or does it only bend notes down?

@@davidwales9657 Depends on how you have it setup. I have the tension set where I can bend up a whole step.

@AaronWesley4 жыл бұрын
Strandberg didn't pay me to make the video if that's what you're asking. I just really like their stuff. It's not everyday that someone redesigns something classic like a guitar to the extent they did.

I don't see how you can say the quality control is perfect when the fretting on these production guitar is at time, really bad. Maybe you didn't get any problem on your end, but i've seen many people displeased, i myself played on many of them and had that issue several times, even on a 3500$ model ( True temperament 6 chord ). I'am not saying these are bad instrument per say, just that when you buy a 2500$ instrument, there shouldn't be any issue, that's just the basic.
