I'm nowhere near getting married, but this is such a great idea. The point of privacy really made sense (especially for people who don't really enjoy being the center of attention). Plus, it feels like it would calm down the bride and the groom, as wedding days tend to make them a bundle of nerves.

here after safia and tylers video. ive never considered it but now i want to for my wedding. i love genuine moments. im worried for my wedding the would be too much picture perfect stiffness.

I would say as well when you have first look you can get a bit more emotional cuz you still can fix make up or whatever real quick but you cannot do that during the ceremony. You can be almost more natural? Bit less stressed then? Hope you get what I mean lol 😂

Literally the first thing I thought! I said “wow that’s actually really great because I can ugly cry and still get my makeup touched up in time”

The first look portion for saf and Tyler was so beautiful! Kept making me cry every time I rewatched it 😭

Our first look gave us some of the most genuine and in the moment photos out of the whole wedding! Every time I see them I get overwhelmed with the emotions all over again!

I'm too young to be getting married to my boyfriend right now (since we're both 17), however i've always thought about my wedding. I always thought i would want to be surprised walking down the aisle, but after this. I realized i would love to actually do a first look. I do love the privacy, i also love the idea of my soon-to-be husband seeing me as everyone else does. Just the more i think about it, i want to just do a first look. Which i never thought i would want

I love this idea

I know all this by now because I've been watching Jamie Wolfer's videos (how I ended up finding you) and then from her also Cavin Elizabeth's videos added that too but it's still nice to have it all reiterated by another person.

The camera change was way much better lol

Daniella Santellano right!? I originally thought the point and shoot would be the perfect nimble camera for easy BTS at weddings, and on the fly vlogging. Turns out it’s the perfect camera for throwing in the trash. #sickburn. Jk it’s now our family camera

I want so much to like your videos (I’ve watched several now and you do GREAT work) but you interrupt the flow of your own conversation what seems like constantly to mention camera angles, batteries, blurriness, your own pain levels, etc. Your videos would skyrocket in quality if you just stopped that one simple habit! (One example- I wanted to send this to my engaged daughter and telling her to start the video at 1:58, but the video rambles into buying new equipment!) I know you want success in your business and I think this would help you a lot. (And me, if I can keep watching, lol) From a retired business owner who wishes you all the best

What brand of sunglasses are those ?

Oh no, I'm about to be exposed: They're from Target. I break and lose glasses too often, so I just keep replacing them with another $15 pair haha

So glad you like it! It's been a lot of fun thinking of ways to mix the vlog and educational formats!

Do couples actually have their couple portraits during that time or just photos and videos of the literal first look? I am considering the first look to save rime because I’ve been in a wedding where the photos after the ceremony felt rushed though it was probably over an hour and then we, the bridal party, barely ate the cocktail hour food (away from guests) because again, it was rushed. I, however, don’t see how we save that much time if it’s just to capture the first look versus taking half of the planned pictures for the day. Not sure if it’s clear what I’m asking but thanks in advance for your reply.
@AmariProductions4 жыл бұрын
Good question! You will also knock out a good amount of photos after first look, for that exact reason! So that you're not as rushed during cocktail hour, and bridal party can be excused.

Thank you!!!! This was the first one that I really went all out on the vlog/educational hybrid. So glad people are enjoying it, because it's much more fun than just standing in a studio!

.... I came here to watch a list if reasons why first looks are a good idea... Instead I spent more time then I wanted skipping over random stuff and looking for the actual list..... *Sigh*.

Yeah, but no. to me it'd take away all the magic of walking down the aisle. I don't want to hang around with my spouse-to-be for hours before we are married. nope.
@AmariProductions4 жыл бұрын
Totally! My wife and I ultimately decided not to do one ourselves. There's definitely no right answer! Just some logistical and preference things to make sure you consider!

Amari Productions I mean I still enjoyed looking at this video 😂 that’s why I’m here. It’s a sweet moment. I guess couples prefer having a moment to themselves before the madness begins.
