Hey! I don't usually do something that is solid chocolate but just kinda has chocolate on it. You can ship a little cheapy ice pack along with it!

I highly recommend using cool shield bubble mailers---they're silver and designed to keep items cooler. Use that and an completely frozen ice pack. Don't pack it until you're certain you're shipping that day because if it just sits it will start losing it's cold temp sitting around.

I have been wanting to FBM but apparently in Canada the shipping costs are more expensive. Waiting for boxes to get to Amazon has been causing me a lot of anxiety! I might give FBM a go however!

I list everything fbm now and I try to stick to small items. My only problem is that a buyer can return for any reason. I have had someone keep an item up until the last day it can be returned and then say they “no longer need it”. Then I have to go through the process of trying to get some money back if they have used it or if it comes back damaged.

The same return policies apply to any way you sell on Amazon. I have found the return rate to be about the same. Sometimes customer just stink... sorry you have those experiences.

@@NikkiKirk but I get charged the high shipping to get that item returned to me via FBM. And yes some customers are terrible and don’t have what I would call legitimate reasons for a return. “No longer needed” is not legitimate. It cost sellers money at no fault if their own. When a customer buys something without reading the description and then wants to return it because they ordered the wrong thing also costs money. Just trying to warn some folks of the bad side of FBM. There are many good reasons but there are real issues that come up also.

No I never run ads. I am only buying and selling things that are already selling by people just coming to Amazon to buy them. You can tell by the items rank if it sells well or not already.

I like to know everything before doing something. I’m still in the process of setting up my account. So my question is, would you recommend that I get a cpa right now or after a few sells? I know some people start off doing taxes themselves, but I just want someone who knows all about it in the beginning to avoid any mistakes.

If you are concerned about taxes I would 100% talk to a CPA. Especially if like you said, you want to know everything up front. Otherwise you may never take the next steps. I did my own taxes for the first 3 years. It’s just a business so there’s nothing that any accountant can’t help you with even tho it seems totally new to you.
