Hey Will 🤗 my fav KZbinr 😍 I wanted to ask if you've ever tried rice water for a protein treatment. Its makes your hair so soft and strong. I use it once a month because I'm low porosity. People out there doing it daily and thats crazy to me because its a protein treatment.

Wow, I was just thinking about protein and moisture today. I did rice water treatments every week for five weeks straight and my hair started shedding after the fifth treatment. I began over hydrating my hair daily to combat the protein overload. I was trying to figure out if my hair is hydro fatigued and how to fix it when I got your notification. Thanks for the video

so then why doesn't my hair stop growing right after I cut it? because this isn't true, your hair never stops growing indefinitely, it stops growing at a certain point of each year but then restarts the growth cycle. the reason people's hair seem to stop growing is that they're not taking enough care of it and the hair strands are break off faster than they're growing.

And also satin and silk is not the exact same! I know a KZbinr who actually lost hair using a satin pillowcase. So it’s all about what works for you! But definitely use silk or satin. No cotton and yesss Will these twist are giving me lifeeee!!! I can’t wait until my hair gets to that length😩
@WillOnAWhim
@WillOnAWhim 5 жыл бұрын
Yup silk is definitely more luxurious and is a naturally occuring fiber, whereas satin is mixture of things, including silk. I'd say get silk if you can afford it, but Satin isn't a bad alternative!

@hellow4130

The thing people don’t understand is that “satin” is not a material, it’s a “finish”. Most satin scarves are actually polyester with a satin (smooth) finish. It is best to buy silk scarves with satin finishes. And yes, there are silk scarves with rough finishes.

I agree, because we will never know the limits of our genetics, I don't think people are able to perfectly take care of their hair enough to find the limits. I often find people with broken ear length or shoulder length hair saying that since long hair is genetics they're giving up

I learnt so much. My hair is currently spongy but on the dry side and the protein-moisture balance point sounds like me. The genetics point also got me. I have wanted to grow my hair for the past two months and have a whole list of stuff I use to moisturize my hair after showering (I onlh wet my hair to give it a small moistur boost because I do not have a spray bottle yet then alternate between oils and shea butter and just the shea butter. I wanted to wash my hair weekly to help avoid product build up but te day I used my ma's sulfate shampoo (I swear, I searched high and low for organic non-sulfate) my hair felt dry and almost look like it shed a bit after conditioning. The pre-poo lesson in one of the previous videos really helped me with the solution to that. In short, I just want to say this channel is a really great help🔥

Mmmm the first one is not completely correct. It’s all true but 85-90% of the hair is always in anagen, catagen 6-8% and 3-4% telogen. Each strand of hair is at different stages of the hair cycle. Meaning your hair 85-90% of the hair is always growing

Stay moisturized 😥 that's what my hair is lacking. I seriously need help with my hair. 😭 It's really bad. Trying out products to see what will save my hair from all damages.
