That was really good. It’s a lot of fun to watch you geek out on playing and running games. The last time I really irritated my DM was when I ran a Divination wizard. It wasn’t just a single thing, but every time I asked the DM if he wanted to know what the monster had rolled as a saving throw. “I cast Feeblemind. Would you like to know what your BBEG rolled as a save?”

That star spawn sounds brutal. I've homebrewed some staged enemies (where one from dies and another emerges) but have forecasted that it's a possibility, so it's possible the party don't get lulled into a false sense of security if they check stuff out.

When are we getting a patreons one shot with you as the DM! I would love that and definitely pay for it. Love your content, I just presented Strahd in my CoS campaign to my PCs on saturday night and they are terrified and paranoid lol.

I think the Bodak and Nightwalker were introduced in 3.5e. Nasty stat blocks for their level.

That'd be the moment my little wizard tripped a trap, and a balor appeared. Just so happens I had an empty Iron Flask... Balrog in a bottle.

I used the EMissary as the end boss in my Rime of the Frostmaiden campaign and due to in game choices the druid player had sided with it and they slaughtered the rest of the party which were 5 other level 17 pcs. They had Heroes Feast up and it used its legendary action to just switch it off 3🙂
