If you speak another language wich is not your first/native language, and you have only 5 seconds to say something, you would forget a lot of words. I was in the same situation and I speak a really good English when I talk to myself (yes, I do that) alone, and when I'm going to speak with someone else I just forget the words and even speak slower, because I'm afraid to be judge by my accent or my pronuntiation.
