I have a hard time trusting anyone keeping a lid on him/herself. Intelligent people can and do swear, not-so intelligent people can be puritan and highly religious without swears yet never speak a word of intellectual value. If people want to swear, let them. If people don't want to swear, that's entirely fine as well. I only take offense to swears if they are intended for me by someone I care about or someone addressing me face to face in anger. Not being a sensitive Sally all the time is rather liberating.
