It's funny how the younger generation has to put a name on everything. Like tummy time. my babies just layed on their stomachs with no objective. Just to change it up from being on their backs. 🙂

To quote my grandmother, he's cuter than a bug's ear. This darling boy needed time and for dad to go elsewhere, away from the house, for tummy time. Its been my experience dads don't like tummy time. Dads need to comfort and prevent upset so dad and t.t. do not mix. Moms are usually able to cope with the tears, let junior kick and scream longer. Sometimes baby needs to adjust to tummy time and they cry 😢. I want to cry when starting a new workout routine. On KZbin I've watched many new babies roll over within moments of being placed on their tummies. What's with that do you suppose? Is it their being lighter in weight still? I wonder if once they roll over on their own if tummy time is difficult since they won't stay there😅.😅

When I raised mine you were supposed to put them on their stomachs when you put them down. Now it's "tummy time."

It was discovered that it increased the risk of SIDS to SLEEP on their tummies. Tummy time is not sleeping

Am I the only one who never did this? My daughters grew up fine!
@dianerogers88052 жыл бұрын
I was thinking the same. Our 3 didn't do it, 41,39 and 35 now. No worries about their development when they we growing up. Our grandadchildren did no do it when they were babies, 9 and 4 now again no problems.

Okay? So we should stop trying to research and learn more about human development because people before us grew up fine…okay. Guess we are done learning, that’s it 😂

@@alysenicoley No... but in this case, all I see are videos of babies on their stomachs crying & in distress.
@dianerogers88052 жыл бұрын
@@SaystheTruth3 I agree babies will do things in their own time. Seems cruel to try and force it because of a fad at such a young age.

Stop tummy time torturing. Let's put the baby's parents to tummy time. They are cruel. There is no scientific evidence that you have to get through this silly tummy time. These mum and dad are just copying other people's stupid tummy time torturing.
@_kikizaman_ Жыл бұрын
“No scientific evidence” can you please link some peer reviewed studies to support this? Because I can link several peer reviewed studies that show scientific evidence backing up tummy time, Ill link them if you’d like. But I would love to see where you’re getting this information from, because to me it sounds like misinformation.
@elliesouza7175 ай бұрын
You're ridiculous and lying. There is scientific evidence proving the benefits of tummy time. It wasn't used before because babies were almost always on their tummy when not being held... Until there was scientific evidence it increased the likelihood of SIDS. I wonder if you called that torture, too. Most kids do hate it at first because they haven't developed those muscles that allow them to push themselves up or roll over... The entire point is this. It's only a few minutes. And no, it isn't copying anyone, it's literally advised by virtually every pediatrician. You should be ashamed of being so ignorant
