The underground railway was a name given to a group that helped slaves escape their captors. The names were the names of some of the slaves the underground railway helped free. They were hidden in the basement, not held there.

The underground railroad isn't a literal railroad. It was a network of individuals who helped slaves escape, with arguably the most famous among these individuals being Harriet Tubman. The names on the beams are the names of slaves who had escaped and were on their way to freedom. That house was probably one of the stops on the way, not a place where they originated.

This Underground Railroad stop may have been discovered. This could also explain why the shack is destroyed and the names stop at 1857 even though the civil war didn’t start until 1861.

Finally someone covered the tree with pots and pans around it. I found this early in one of my playthroughs. Throughout that playthroughI would return to that tree and the number of pots and pans would multiply, until finally in the epologue when I returned there had to be over 40 pans and such attached to the tree and about 15 kettles and pots on the ground around it. During my current playthrough the quantity of objects was about the same in this video. Years ago I read a book about the Old Pioneer days in the U.S. This was before any passage was discovered over the Rocky Mountains to the west coast. Back then Mountain Men, Trappers, Prospectors etc would venture into the Wilderness and on their way back out they would lighten their load of heavy, unnecessary objects at a trailhead for others passing by to take if they needed them. I think this might be a reference to this obscure historical tradition.

Game files mention, by name, a movement to smuggle slaves to freedom. Strange Man: Clearly, they worked for the railroad. Pristine, undented pots and pans loosely hung on a tree without a single bullet mark on it, that fall down immediately when shot. Strange Man: Clearly, they were used for target practice. I'd say that he's running out of RDR2 material, but I thought the same thing two years ago and he just keeps finding stuff.

I have two 'mysteries' from my playthroughs: 1: On a hillside, about 500 feet, over the trail, WSW of Fort Riggs, there is, a lone, small Indian grave. It has a grave marker made from a human skull, horns and bird feathers. The marker might be 'looking' in the direction of Beecher's Hope 2: Up on a climbable rock, at the junction to the trail, just above the 'M' of Mount Shann, Is an stone obelisk, that's surrounded, on the ground, by a circle of stones, like the spokes on a wheel, with faint direction arrows at the ends of some. (One of which points to a distant rock, near the 'V' of the word 'Valley', that has a stash under it). Haven't found if there's an event that I haven't done, that triggers it. Or why it's not a POI for journal entry. Peace All
@HorizonRover
@HorizonRover 9 ай бұрын
It's not a Child's grave. The size of the decorations doesn't always represent the size of the buried subject. The "obelisk" is a sundial which is also used by the "time traveling" cult. It gives the directions (to the UFO) to their "shelters" and some collectibles.

@@HorizonRover I called it a child's grave, based on the small size of the grave mound itself rather than the totem. Also the totem seems to be placed, facing the area, North of Blackwater, and looks like it might be facing in the direction of Beecher's Hope. Also, I'll see about the cult thing. But I had tested that theory, but only found that one knapsack. But I will look again. Thanx. Peace All

@@garetjax19Have you also noticed? 1. When i myself played Rdr2, i went on to Six point cabin before The mission, "Paying a social Call" But there wasnt a single o driscoll there, when i returned later after The mission, there also wasnt anyone there. Are they only there once, because it is however one of their hideouts. 2. I think i have Solid guess where Kieran died, Old Henry Fern, in mission "Horsemen Apocalypses" there was a whole lot of o Driscolls that attacked at Shady Belle, and that much of attackers need a hideout somewhere near, which is secluded and abandoned location and Old Henry Fern is both, it's also near at Shady Belle, and they snatched Him outside of shady Belle. Besides, i highly doubt that they Took Him All The way Back to WE to Lone Mule stead where they had another hideout, where they kept Arthur. Yes, i know that they also have camps and hideouts on New Hanover in most chapters, But In Lemoyne there were lesser Secluded locations where they could go. 3. In Mission "Icarus and Friends" Sadie is chased by O driscolls coming from up North, They could have had an whole other division up there Bc Roanoke forest had Many good cabin's and it would had useful of laying low and such, But The question is. How did Sadie knew there was a whole other division up there in Roanoke forest?

I was wondering if someone could make a video about "secret" spirit animals that you can see throughout a gameplay. Like you can see a VOLTURE when you go to Strauss, you can see a RAT running where you meet Micah last time in the epiloge, and you can also see a Owl on the cabin of Veteran after he dies. Same goes for Arthur i think when he dies, you see either BUCK or WOLF. I was looking for some video about that, but never found one.

You got the first one wrong. 1. The underground railroad doesn’t refer to an actual railroad. It was a group of abolitionist people that helped slaves escape from slavery. So those names and dates are the names of slaves that stayed there hiding from slave catchers over that time span. 2. It doesn’t take 6 years to make a railroad so that also debunks your theory. The reason it may have been burned down is that the person inhabiting the home may have been caught and either killed or just had their house burnt down as punishment. So no, slaves were not kept their in slavery, but rather to escape to freedom.

In mission "Icarus and Friends" O driscolls chase Sadie, and they come from Up North. There was a whole division up there, as Roanoke forest had lots of Cabins, too and it's part New Hanover. But, how did Sadie knew there was a whole division of O driscolls, up in Roanoke forest?

I Wish RdR2 online never happened and they just released a few story mode xpacs. I'd love to hear some of the connected lore, but I play games like Red Dead Redemption because I want to escape , not be annoyed by other people. It's so sad that Rockstar has turned their 2 greatest games into World of Warcraft

During the Horatio segment of the video, the music is from Chapter 4 mission "Angelo Bronte, a Man of Honor" but it seems edited / mixed... Can anyone link me up to this version?

The circle of wagons location is not the same location in RDR1. In the first game the spot is in Hamlin’s Passing whilst in the second game it’s near Critchley’s Ranch.

This is unrelated, But have you thought this/noticed? 1. When i played, i went to six point cabin before The mission, "paying a social Call" But there wasnt a single o driscolls there. Just in The mission, Not Even after it. 2. I have Solid guess where Kieran died. Old Henry Fern. Bc, Before The mission "Horsemen Apocalypses" there is lot of o driscolls Who then attack shady Belle, And they obviously needed an secluded and abandoned location as one of their camps, Besides, I highly doubt that The o driscolls Took Kieran All The way to WE to Lone Mule stead where they had another hideout. They had lot camps on New Hanover too, But In Lemoyne, there were lesser Secluded locations, Besides they snatched Him outside of shady Belle And Old Henry Fern was secluded and near at Shady Belle. He could have died there. 3. In mission "Icarus and Friends" O driscolls Chase Sadie, as they come North, they could have had an whole other division there up North as there's good amount of cabin's in roanoke forest. But, how did Sadie actually knew there was a division up there? Thats All. Just wondering.

I know several others have already pointed out the Underground Railroad discrepancy, but I would like to point out that there is NO way that enslaved people would risk being caught writing. That was a hugely punishable offense, with some enslavers choosing to simply execute those that could do so. Furthermore, that's pretty clearly a Northern state or Western territory at the time, in which case it's dubious slavery would have been legal at all.

Considering the game is a fictional area based on the borders of Louisiana, Texas, and Mississippi, slavery was very much legal. 🤷🏻‍♂️

@@CrackingCody That's not strictly true, based on the section of the map. Ambarino, for instance, is inspired by Colorado, and Tall Trees is loosely based on the Rockies. So. ETA I just looked at the location on the map again, and it's right on the border of the Heartlands, which seems to be inspired by Oklahoma, Nebraska, or Kansas, right next to...somewhere south-ish. So yeah, either way, I guess. I also know that slavery was legal in the south, my wife is an American historian, like who wouldn't know that, come on.
