Hi Gaurav, thanks for posting scripting videos. It is helping someone like me who is new to Service now, to understand how we can play around and get desired output. It will be nice if we can have a MID scripting video for any third party app integration. Thanks, Nitin

Good One Gaurav. This is what I was looking for. I have seen many videos on Client Script but every one failed to give clear explanation on Client Script . No one have ever tried it to make it simple like you did. Please let me know if you have any videos for Record Producers, Service Catalogs and CMDB.

Hi Sekhar, 6 is the backend value of resolved choice. You can check in state field dictionary.

Hi Gaurav, In your example for VIP user. Instead of using getRefernce() if I use g_user.userID(). Will it be any difference ?

i have a question on the disableAttachments if(state== 6){ // its the 6 value the resolved? // how it became 6 is resolved hope you asnwer thanks }

Yes, 6 is resolved. Point is that if State will become resolved then Attachment should be disabled.

Hi everyone, cannot hide the "Affected CI" related list if cmdb_ci field is empty. Could someone share the script with me?

I also tried but unable to do so. I was trying to get the value of cmdb_ci field by var a = g_form.getvalue(cmdb_ci) and then putting if ( a == ' ') { g_form.disablerelatedlist(field name); } Though this can be done through UI policy also. Just put condition ci is empty and in script g_form.disablerelatedlist. without script in ui policy it has ui policy action disable related list as well
