I don't know why bollywood get too much slammed for nepotism. Yes it is not good but the fact is nepotism is everywhere. And it is natural human tendency to support the people closer to us. Be it in politics, administration or even in simple walks of life. We favour those closure to us. So nepotism is everywhere. And it is not a crime like in govt. jobs where people with influences favour their closed ones/relatives over other deserving canditates. Nepostism there is a crime, not in favouring certain star kids. People will reject if they don't like the actor. Yes Ananya undeservedly got filmfare instead of many newcomers. The criticism should be there. But nepotism in itself in not the vices only linked with Bollywood, it is everywhere.

Would any sane person consider that you were offered the position because of your grandfather? Ranveer is the same thing- his grandmother acted in a few movies nearly 60 years before he came on screen. she wasn't a Nargis or a Madhubala, she was a minor junior artiste. That's it. And as for being related to Anil Kapoor's wife- their son is pretty much the same age, tried to break into the industry around the same time- if anything, they'd have used whatever means they had to sabotage every young actor, including Ranveer, so their son could make it. And middle class- if your relatives are wealthier than you are, you're going to compare yourself to them, and think you're middle class. You think the Adi Chopras and Karan Johars of the 2010s knew about a junior artiste from 1950? Get real! And people pouncing on that bit of nonsense to dig up SSR again- seriously 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄

SRK's mother had business contacts with Aziz Mirza and Colonel Kapoor through her brief realb estate business. She got SRK his first acting role in Fauji when someone else opted out of the Colonel Fauji's show. SRK is anything but self-made.

First off, where's your sources for this information. Second off, getting a start in theatre and getting a start in movies is *wildly* different. And lastly, this still doesn't invalidate SRK's struggle to become a star.

SRK - An Outsider to The King❤️
@neilrussell67143 жыл бұрын
Ranveer Singh is so fake. Shahrukh and Akshay are the only outsiders (male) who actually came from absolutely nothing. Actors like Ranveer singh are delusional thing they’re going to become the next SRK/Akshay so they become up this outsider narrative. Only actors like Rajkummar Rao and Ayushmann are complete outsiders like SRK. SRK really accomplished the world on his own. He’s the best! No younger actor can ever reach his or Akshay’s level

As kids once we watched Anu Kapoor and Gajindra Singh's Antakshiri. They had a segment "Chehray pe chehra. " In this they overlapped two celebrity pics and teams had to identify them. Once a picture of Parveen Bobby came and every one was perplexed because they couldnt distinguish if there was another image overlapped or not. The result revealed Parveen Bobby's image was overlapped with image of Pooja Bhutt. The resemblance was so sharp that it seemed that they are mother and Daughter. I have waited years for a conspiracy to come at surface that Pooja was actually Parveen Babbi's and Mahesh Bhutt's daughter. But at Parveen Babbi's death when no one came to claim her body. I felt that pooja wasn't her daughter after all.
